That's just below €400k per week AFTER taxes. In England that would mean a pre-tax wage of approx. £700k a week.

Vinicius Jr earns €680k/£575k per week. The magnitude of this deal is gargantuan, even with just a year on his contract. There aren't many clubs who can afford this & there are less who can (legally) pull it off.
Arsenal, much like Manchester United, are yet to prove they can get something this big done. A player & a superstar like this completely changes your dressing room dynamics, wage structure & tactical system.
It doesn't mean there's no excuse not to try, though.
