Tim Dillon is the perfect example of a “podcast bro” Hopped on the Trump train to gain fame, didn’t take but a few months for him to turn on Trump in 2025. So he got famous and made money shitting on the left, now he makes money and stays famous for shitting on the right. Meanwhile he’s a gay white liberal man who’s a failed comedian, turned podcaster. These people will go along with whatever pays them the most. None of their opinions are real or authentic. Theo Von, Joe Rogan, Tim Dillon, Dave Smith, these guys are not republicans and they don’t speak for us. Remember that.

@ConceptualJames Three very different people. Dave Smith only cares about “winning” “debates” - very unserious person. Theo is a genuine human with demons - most relatable. Rogan closest to what you describe, but shouldn’t be villainized. Also the only one with the success you’re describing.

The thing about Dave Smith, Theo Von, and even to a degree Joe Rogan is that none of them are "failed comedians." They're all really successful, like private jets and huge venues. It's that they're what they claim to hate: dumb celebrities weighing in on politics for clout.

@nickitruesdell I think the most important thing parents can hear is they are absolutely capable of doing it. Whether they want to or not is their choice. But if they care enough to do it, they’re certainly capable of seeing it through.

I see a lot of something on homeschool Twitter that I want to address. My perspective is as a mom of five kids homeschooled all the way, and homeschooled myself. Homeschooled kids aren’t better than everyone else’s kids, but I read so many posts that sure seem to portray this. It’s over the top. “My 3yo can read chapter books.” “My 14yo loves Shakespeare and creates apps.” “My 10yo wakes up early to do calculus.” Yes, your kid has more opportunities, more time, and more freedom. It’s what makes homeschooling great. But homeschooling doesn’t make your kid a genius, or a saint. Neither do you. Each child is different. Each will respond to the same upbringing in different ways. Some will love learning. But you know what? Even some homeschooled kids hate learning. Some will accelerate their progress, but others will not. Some homeschooled kids are super social and talk to everyone about anything. But some homeschooled kids are painfully shy and will avoid conversation like the plague. Some homeschooled kids grow up to have wonderful relationships with their family, and some will not. All of these kids can be in one family. Homeschooled. Loved. Parented the same way. Listen, I’m a 100% die-hard homeschool advocate. I think every kid should be educated at home. But let’s be real: people are people. God made us all different. No parent, not even homeschool parents, can create a perfect kid. And I think we should stop acting like it’s possible. Pray for wisdom. Pray for discernment. Pray for grace. 99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.
