@jck_finiterre @agromons @ipaddockapps @drage_farms Hi Jason - we are doing our best to secure a 50 registration but unfortunately getting approval is very difficult. Australia's peak regulatory board does not like the research from Australians peak scientific organisation - even though it peer reviewed and published!

@ipaddockapps @drage_farms The company that jumped up and down and swore black and blue the CSIRO data was wrong and we only needed the 25s, is now the one and only company with a “research permit” for the 50s… it’s a little suss for my liking 🤔.

Agricultural businesses in the northern Ag region of WA are under serious threat. In my experience, label rates of registered baits are not enough to control a population that has gone exponential. Recent inspections of baited paddocks show significant removal of planted seeds despite recent baiting after seeding - in fine weather. Growers will need to apply baits more than once, which is costly. The common sense approach would be to have registered mouse baiting products that have a rate range on the label, where higher rates can be used for higher pressure. Emergency permits required asap. @APVMA @GRDCWest @theGRDC

Kickstart your crop with metAzoxy — the dual-action strength of azoxystrobin + metalaxyl-M working below the surface 🌱 Stronger roots, cleaner establishment, better yield potential.
Tackles Rhizoctonia & Pythium right where it matters — at sowing. Sales@4farmers.com.au

@S_M_Bowman @AmberB_C We are trying to get a permit currently. We have everything ready to go, just no permission. There are people in the industry agitating that 50 is not needed, despite csiro work and farmer feedback.

What’s the go with Mouse Off 50 strength? Seems sold out with no more coming. Heaps of mice and most people haven’t even really started seeding yet Is it they don’t have the permit to make the 50 strength? Why do they need a special permit each time? And are they getting one?

Are you seeding into dwindling soil moisture? Aquifer will make the most of what soil moisture you have. Attracting it and holding it in the seed zone. Aquifer - Better, Cheaper. Email sales@4farmers.com.au

Howdy WA agriculture - I am pleased to advise that I have stepped out of 4Farmers GM role and into 4F R&D Agronomy. Am really looking forward to testing some great innovative ideas with the 4F team under the leadership of Dr Cam Beeck, ably assisted by Cathy McKenna.

@lochtaylor15 Because it is made mostly of humectants it behaves like liquid organic matter in the soil. It attracts moisture to itself and then releases it to the seed. If the moisture in below it can help bring that up. Obviously there’s limits to how deep but it does attract moisture.

@4Farmers_ Will it actually pull subsoil moisture up from depth or will it only catch any moisture/rain that’s coming past the seed zone?

Hold onto your soil moisture. Recent rain across WA is pushing moisture down the profile but not always where seeds need it. Aquifer helps pull that moisture back into the seed zone, improving germination, establishment and early vigour. It’s not more water, it’s better use of it
