@masatoalexander Kind of funny how you spammed every comment with the CTO proposal and not one person replied back after that 🤣

one of the pervasive lies of cardano is that it has great tech and lags because of bad marketing. in reality cardano lacks fundamental features of blockchains (and are basically impossible to properly add): 1. events are missing 2. ABIs are missing 3. data-heavy use-cases like L2s are infeasible 4. privacy / crypto-heavy use-cases are basically blocked 5. compute-heavy use-cases can't be atomic 6. state channels are missing features to really deliver 7. composition is so limited at the protocol level that most dApps live in isolation 🤭

Louder for the Cardano haters: Cardano already has what ETH wants to engineer. It’s called EUTXO! Bitcoin’s UTXO model extended for smart contracts. For years Cardano has been criticized, yet with every new proposal Vitalik is moving Ethereum closer to the design principles Charles and Cardano championed from the beginning. Can’t wait to see what they decide to call it after they copy Cardano’s homework.
Charles Hoskinson@IOHK_Charles

It's not like I've been literally working on this topic for over 10 years of my life and launched a cryptocurrency that was number three on coinmarketcap with millions of users to deploy it. It's literally a crime in the Ethereum inner circles to mention Cardano. EUTXO is the biggest innovation of the smart contract world and Ethereum cannot mention it as they literally try to copy it.

@angrycryptoshow @BELTRAANC But it still did, and even considering L2s capturing a large amount of the value that would flow into Eth the asset. Cardano? Not even close 😂 and it still manages to drop harder than almost every other coin in the top 50

UPDATE: #Cardano $ADA Founder Charles Hoskinson says "if you took the United States out of it, we would have had a regular cycle, and actually had an alt season in 2025, and everything would have been fine."

Cardano’s governance experiment is broken. Not “imperfect.” Broken. And to be clear, the tech is astounding. Cardano’s research, engineering, security model, and long-term design are still some of the best in the industry. But everything around the tech needs work. I have a lot of respect for many people in #Cardano. Some of the smartest, most principled people I’ve worked with are still in this ecosystem. But, that being said, I also have the exact opposite view of many others who have treated governance like a game, a gravy train, or a personal brand exercise. The only era where Cardano clearly excelled was under the old model, with tighter technical leadership and proper direction. Since the handoff, governance has become slow, political, sloppy, and too easy for insiders and loud voices to influence. The market sees it. The community sees it. Confidence has been bleeding out in public. Great projects have fallen to this exact problem before: incredible tech, poor incentives, captured governance, and no real accountability. Others survived because they made the hard calls early enough. Cardano still can. But the answer is not another round of committees, town halls, budget games, or decentralization cosplay. Cardano needs a reset. Bring back federated nodes under proper IO guidance until the chain and ecosystem are stabilized. Audit every major treasury spend from the last 3–5 years. Show who got paid, what they promised, what they delivered, and what remains. Any funds taken without real delivery should be returned. Prune the founding entities where needed. Clean up the conflicts. Stop pretending every legacy structure deserves to survive just because it has been around for years. Put adult treasury controls in place before spending another ADA. And put focus back on traders. Traders are not the enemy. They are liquidity, attention, distribution, price discovery, and market signal. Ignore them long enough and you do not get a purer ecosystem. You get an irrelevant one. Stop building in hostile or Trojan horse environments that clearly do not serve Cardano’s long-term interest. IO carrying Cardano and Midnight is a lot. No question. But Cardano needs accountable leadership more than it needs more governance theatre. Hard calls are overdue. I understand that this probably won't be a popular opinion on here, but it's honestly how I feel. #Cardano #Governance #Community #Growth

@Sssebi Eth .. coming out with a 3/5 year road map of upgrades 😅.. pretty sure the last upgrade didnt work .. A 5 years Cardano for this point could be the Eth Killer ... Leios / Hydra / Realfi / Midnight... all probably live with in 3/5 months .

@RetireYoung81 The IF in your statement relies on ETH being able to do it equally and efficiently. Any hiccups risk user attrition. I’m betting they’ll never be able to architect anything close to Cardano. So while they’re spending time rebuilding, Cardano is scaling. It’s an W for ADA IMO

Its not a win for Cardano when Ethereum moves to UTXO. Its a huge L. The only advantage is now gone, so users on Ethereum will stay on Ethereum. I told you so's aren't real winning

one of the biggest problems with cardano is the community's inability to objectively view reality. the people that think eth is copying cardano (UTxOs) would do well to look at Seb's pretty frank evaluation of some of the huge problems with cardano: app.cgov.io/governance/b11…

EMURGO announced stepping down from duties as a Pentad member.
EMURGO@emurgo_io

Today, we formally notified the entities that we will be stepping down from our duties as a member of the Pentad. We want to thank the members for their shared commitment to Cardano throughout our time working alongside them. Our immediate priority is the @secondfiapp recovery process, and we are concentrating our resources where they are needed most. We believe this is the right decision for our users and for the ecosystem, and it reflects the standard of accountability we hold ourselves to as a founding entity of Cardano. As stated by SecondFi, quarantine mode is being enabled this week, letting users check if a wallet address appears in preliminary incident data and submit a support ticket. Our intention is that next week, the secure wallet export will be deployed to help affected users safely move assets to a new wallet. On asset recovery, we continue to make progress with the recovery tool, initiated through a portal, that keeps users in control while protecting their information

Your point l? Eth has users and liquidity Proof Cardano has nothing so you mention it was #3 for like 5min😭😂 you should maybe copy how to get users and liquidity to Cardano.. maybe copy some of that cross chain stuff they do like bridges.. maybe let’s copy their real stable coin lq. Not really copying you if they can do it on a chain with all that other stuff lol

Native UTXOs on Ethereum. Payments should be one-shot objects, not permanent state. Bitcoin got this right. Ethereum can bring the same idea to payments: prove existence from history, keep only a spent bit in state, and reduce permanent state by ~99.8%. Check out the blog post for details. ethresear.ch/t/native-utxos…
