Pt.1 This week we have celebrated #iwillweek , an annual celebration of young people and the work they’re doing to improve their communities and own lives through social action. #stillwerise represents the strength of every young person in the UK, coming together to create a better future for everyone. We asked some of our youth workers and young people how they feel their resilience, compassion, strength, commitment and sense of community have improved since being connected to 4YP. Here are their answers..

A huge thank you to these wonderful people from @AXA who have voluntarily been helping to clear out and repaint the @4_yp Hub. We are thrilled to be one of their UK Hearts in Action charity partners. #volunteersweek2024

Following the success of the first Get Into Youth Work Academy, we are delighted to be working with @Lofty__Heights and @CASuffolk to deliver this training again, for anyone passionate about having a positive impact on the lives of young people. This six session course runs from 10:00-14.30, three days per week for two weeks > Tuesday 25 June, Wednesday 26 June, Thursday 27 June, Tuesday 2 July, Wednesday 3 July and Thursday 4 July. As a society, we often focus on the challenges that neurodivergent people face rather than the strengths that those with neurodivergence bring. @4_yp are proud to support #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek and celebrate the difference and uniqueness that all those we work with and support add to the life of the organisation. We also celebrate organisations that provide support to those with neurodivergence when needed. @NCWeek

4YP is proud to offer more than 6,500 sessions of counselling per year to children and young people. Sadly, we know that this is nowhere near enough to meet the needs of all those requiring support, which is why we are committed to building the capacity of our counselling team. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is appropriately qualified and experienced. We could not let National Apprenticeship Week pass without a shoutout to our brilliant Youth Support Worker apprentice Ayla (to the right in the picture below alongside another fantastic member of our team, Gabi). Ayla first arrived at @4_yp as a 15 year old work experience student. That placement inspired Ayla to want to become a children and youth worker and persuaded us that we needed to ensure we provided her with the opportunity to do so! Ayla's passion and energy is an inspiration to the whole organisation and it is a privilege to see Ayla learn and develop, and engage with other younger people with such empathy and enthusiasm. In just over a year's time, Ayla will be fully qualified as JNC Level 3 Youth Support Worker and we are sure will have a positive impact on the lives of children and young people for many years to come... and who knows... perhaps be our future CEO!! #NAW2024

At @4_yp we love hosting work experience placements. The amazing Isobel recently spent a week with us and wanted to share her story with you all. Nurturing the next generation of counsellors and practitioners to work with children and young people is at the heart of our ethos.
