This is kinda true but my observation is there just isn’t hype for any sporting thing in America until about a week before it starts, so the expectation of mass hype is probably unfair

An important note:
A big line move does not necessarily mean anyone has inside information, etc.
A syndicate of bettors could be waiting until fight day to place simultaneous large wagers. The line moves big and the public follows, thinking that they have an edge.
