A King County Judge has released one of the most sexually violent prisoners in Washington state, into a quiet neighborhood in Enumclaw.
Twice convicted rapist and convicted child molester Robert Lough was finally sentenced to 30 years after his 2nd rape conviction. He was so violent behind bars, that his initial 30 year prison sentence turned into 40 years.
And he never got less awful.
In 2023, he was found with a cell phone that contained "child exploitation videos" yet the state did not refer charges. (Had they, he might not have been released). And in 2025, he got in trouble for threatening prison guards.
As if all that wasn't bad enough...
Lough refused to complete Sex Offender treatment.
Fox13's David Rose reports that, "experts for both the prosecution and the defense determined that, while Lough is predisposed to commit future violent acts, he is not considered to be sexually violent anymore."
The forensic psychologist who examined Lough even said and we quote; "It would not be surprising if, upon release, he engaged in future acts of non-sexual violence."
And yet, Washington state's "criminal first" law required this monster be released back into our community, no strings attached, no conditions, no promise that he won't victimize more people.
