@JonTurnerEdD @MOEducation This is similar to my district’s situation: the district 10 mi. to the south pays $12K more, the district 10 mi. to the north pays the same but offers a 4-day week. We are sadly a ”work more for less pay” district comparatively. Where is the “why” to stay?

I spend a lot of time explaining the "why" of the 4 day school week to policymakers #moleg. Maybe this will help. You're a new or veteran teacher, which school would you pick? Chose Clayton? What can Warren County do to attract you if they can't compete on salary? @MOEducation

The House Elementary and Secondary Education Committee voted out HB1989, which would create an open enrollment program. This harmful legislation could come to the floor as early as next week. MSTA remains opposed to this bill for these reasons. msta.org/action.

Introverts don't know how to ask for help. Trust me, even when they're in pain, they won't say a word. That's how they are. They won't burden you. They'll bear the pain alone. They just disappear and come back when they're good.
