@ShitpostRock2 I think there is a happy medium where players are signaled what “everything is” while not requiring an absurd level of effort. Titanfall 2 is kinda perfect even if the gauntlet is a pain.

Videogame achievements/trophies are one of the most criminally overlooked mechanics of all time. Done right, they push you to explore everything, master systems, and actually finish games… and it’s INSANE how often devs ignore them completly or lazily design them

I like the shape change of the implants in Marathon, but still wish there were individual icons to easily tell them apart / quickly identify them. Might be too complicated but I think I feel like its at least worth looking into.

The map needs to be smaller or it needs to be a persistent map that keep rolling loot, players, and exfils.
The map becomes a meat grinder and the loot is not in sufficient abundance to make it a “Battle Royal” kind of experience where the fun comes from scrapping a kit quickly

@imPenny2x The issue with e.g. gay marriage is not that it's a "slippery slope". The issue is that it's wrong. Same principle applies in all cases. If the thing itself were not wrong then the slippery slope argument A would likely not apply and B would be irrelevant if it did.
