NEW: Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, despite reports of his failing health and questions if he's even alive, is vowing to protect Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. Khamenei in his latest statement attempts to draw a hard line with the U.S. as tensions stay high over the Strait of Hormuz while President Trump pushes peace. “The foreigners who greedily commit evil in [Iran] from thousands of kilometers away have no place in it except in the depths of its waters.” Khamenei is pushing back against U.S. peace efforts, saying the only place for the American military in the Persian Gulf is “at the bottom of its waters” as he pushes his vision of a "future without America" in the region that belongs only to Iran and its neighbors. President Trump says the Iranian regime told him they are in a "State of Collapse," warning that they "better get smart soon" when it comes to signing a nonnuclear deal.
