@DavidMalsher@TomGaymor Gents, watched at the beginning of the week one of the best Indycar races I've seen in year's, the Texas 375, absolutely brilliant from start to finish, just one thing I was amazed at how very few spectators were in the stands, Any thoughts?
@WorldofGenesis@genesis_band Stunning footage, takes me back to Friday June 76 Hammy Odeon, the 3rd night of 5, so, so lucky to have seen that gig,
seems like only yesterday 😁
A rare 17-minute tease of #Genesis at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada in 1976. This was Phil’s 5th show as front man. The source was 8mm footage (amateur).
#OnThisDay in ’81 Reutemann (Williams) won the #SouthAfricanGP, a 19-car #F1 race boycotted by Ferrari, Renault, Alfa, Ligier & Osella. Had it counted for the championship, which it should & for months looked like it would, Reutemann not Piquet would have been champion. (1/2)
@Misterquartet After Steve left they lost forever the quirky Olde fashioned style and sound, ie: Carry on up the Vicarage, Still great live though 78 through to 82
#NP More Genesis! Of course they were never the same after Chris Stewart left! Perhaps controversially, what this has that “The Lamb” lacks is quite good actual song-writing - but it was downhill most of the way from here for me…
@PlanetRockRadio@WyattVW Queued up all night February 1977 outside Manchester Apollo for tickets for Peter Gabriel first ever solo shows early that year, worth every minute of freezing my nuts off for great seats a couple of rows back, Happy Daze 😊👌
This is such a great interview with John Carpenter. Maker of some of the greatest genre movies ever, and clearly a serious dude... variety.com/2023/film/feat… 1/2
@JoeBanksWriter Bloody great film, remember going to see it at the cinema early 80's a couple of times 👌, Loved Kurt Russell's character, the young un's today would rip the special effects to bit's with all the fancy CGI stuff but back then Wow 🤯😲😁
