Chennai is among the largest and oldest Metro City bro. We have world class Bus stations in TN but our own capital city's Airport is worser than a local bus station. Chennai's infrastructure and business sector sure need a world class airport with excellent connectivity. Parandur for now is best option. Other cities slowly the airports are being expanded and developed. But permissions are to be granted by Central Govt. Already they are playing games with Hosur airport. Wrt. Parandur all permissions are already obtained and land acquisition is complete. If at final stage someone tries to stop it, it's a total loss to state.

One of my friends from Kerala told me that if you hire a cab there and visit your relatives, the driver is also invited to dine at the same table as everyone else. Furthermore, this sense of equality extends to restaurants as well. I truly hope this is true; it is beautiful if it is, especially since we see so much classism and mistreatment of drivers, domestic helpers, and other professionals in the rest of India.
