Tim Walz announced that Shireen Gandhi is out as commissioner of the fraud-plagued Department of Human Services Gandhi was set to appear before a Minnesota Senate committee Tuesday for her confirmation hearing. “For the second time in under a year, the day before a Walz employee is set to face tough questions over the DHS response to fraud, they’re removed from their position." Gandhi will stay on for the time being as a deputy commissioner; John Connolly will serve as the temporary commissioner.
