@iancheveau @fm_viking Maybe but the ones doing it this year on his side aren’t good enough and can’t do the job. Costs us trys and will be costly on the league table come yr end. All teams above us now bar 1 have 6x better pts diff than us and some played a game less too.

On the Abdull training point. I recall one of Widnes SL greats, Scarts never training. Or if he did it was light work and captain run. Granted Jordan hasn’t played SoO for NSW but it does happen in sport. Ned used to manage his players properly. The end.

@iancheveau @fm_viking Exactly, plus we probably had a team with players good enough to carry Carts. We ain’t got that luxury right now. Too many times just 9 games in we have been attacked and exploited down JA’s side. We can’t continue with that, points difference will be important in this league.

@iancheveau @Neilwallo1 @ASViking from the playing squad, it’s not a one off unfortunately. Clearly a quality player in there just unable or unwilling to put the effort in at training. If all others are doing the training you can’t pick him above them. Especially when he is being targeted for his poor defence.

Lot of rumours about Jordan leaving the club. I believe the budget is being cut dramatically for next season which means Allan, of whoever is in charge, won’t have the same resources. I think it’s all out this year and hope for a big SL push. I’d break the budget to keep this lad

@iancheveau @Neilwallo1 @ASViking Ian, if player turns up to training as and when he wants and then does just 2 laps of the pitch and say that’s me done. It ain’t gonna work. Coach can’t force any player to put in the effort in training or pick you up for training just to ensure you get there. It’s players job.

@jdgsport Oh and I didn’t hear the championship mentioned or grass roots RL, or did I miss this? Heard women’s, SL, wheelchair so maybe others were in there but never heard it.

It's a shame there aren't more opportunities on TV for Brian Carney to interview, like a panel show or similar. Feel like he could get some real depth for fans rather than a quick pitchside chat.

@vikinggriff @jdgsport Over time you should get better players. With a larger cap teams could attract top level players from Oz rather than those getting on or on the edges of NRL squads. Our youngsters could learn from these better players improving our player pool. Easier said than done.

@jdgsport Does it actually matter? For the most part they are recruiting in completely different player pools, if sl crippled the salary cap, the players wouldn't get any better, they would just get paid more,

Interesting that in the list of Australian excuses for the World Club Challenge results favouring Super League teams of late that the disparity in salary cap the other way is never mentioned.

@JayneGreeny @jdgsport I’d agree but my main issue is funding the sport must give each championship club a bigger amount from central funding. I’d say £400k added to the salary cap agreed yesterday. Oh and home and away league games wk to wk. Too often are clubs going 6/7/8 weeks with no home fixture.

@jdgsport Disgrace and RFL showing they are incapable of running this sport. Joke. As said never new owners fault but pts deduction -12pts has to be mandatory as said Widnes lost funding in 2 fronts and started on -12pts. Weak and pathetic from RFL.

@jdgsport Cheers. RFL set rules to get pendulum games based on finishing positions from 25, but take out London and Batley and replace with Worky and Dewsbury. Then put London back in as a regional game. So RFL ignore their own rule and do what they like. 👍

@jdgsport Just read on Loverugbyleague that the loop fixtures can not include teams you play in the pendulum games. So London can’t be ours if that’s true. I’d guess N Wales and Swinton for us then.

@jdgsport Yes in the loop twice but twice in the pendulum games, so 4 times. Correct? That’s 1/6th of our season against FT and probably biggest spenders in the second tier. So they pick us out I guess to try and make it competitive (hope we are) but then chuck Midlands under the bus. 🤐

@71Webby Unfortunately, there are no teams regional to London so they have to play someone. Widnes is probably the most southern team other than Midlands.

@jdgsport Sorry meant 4 times not 3. Sheffield and Donny must be closest surely. I get non are regional. And we probably are the closest to NWales, but London? Must be a dozen teams closer to them than us. Ridiculous
