@shaw_80 @tobyasky It's not my call who is in charge. One thing you can say is, at no point in season 26/27 did I ever feel we were in any danger of going down, something that you couldn't say over the last 5 years. It's not been fantastic, but if we get more improvement next year, then great.

@ASViking @tobyasky Nothing is guaranteed. All fans want to see is a plan and some ambition. I don’t see either. Too many false dawns at the club in the last 30 years.

Over 2 years ago, West Ham fans protested for David Moyes to be sacked. Every game, they had “Moyes out”. In life, always watch what you wish for. Moyes was using a bang average team to win Conference League for them, as well as doing pretty well in the league, I mean he finished top half of the table with West Ham in this season, but they were complaining. They never knew he was pulling some crazy magic to keep them competitive. This is the same thing Everton fans are doing. Everyone battled relegation with Dyche and Lampard. Moyes was 4 points short of European spot this season, but I remember arguing with an Everton fan here on X, and he was part of the people who want Moyes out. Dewsbury-Hall was on MNF few weeks ago to say a bit about how Moyes gets results even the team does not look like it. I mean, they signed a striker who couldn’t even score in 17 games or more. At some point, he was playing Barry this week, Beto the next, because none were reliable. West Ham sacked Moyes. After that, they’ve had 3 managers. Lopetegui, Potter, and Nuno. They’re back to championship after 14 years. Again, be mindful of what you wish for.

Some West Ham fans unveiled a 'Moyes out' banner after the defeat against Nottingham Forest. The Hammers are eighth in the table. #BBCFootball #NFOWHU

@shaw_80 @tobyasky My expectations are the same as they were when I first watched us in 1968. In those 58 years, 40 odd of them have been absolute rubbish. But you keep the faith, keep going and back the Manager & Players.

@ASViking @tobyasky He only signed a 2.5 year deal, he’s a year left. You giving him a new deal? On what basis? What are your expectations for the club and how does Moyes deliver them?

@shaw_80 @tobyasky Let's see where we are after he's been here 3 years. Or would you like Dyche back? The fans have hounded out numerous managers over the last 10 years, and it has achieved absolutely fuck all.

@tobyasky @ASViking How long was he at West Ham for? 3 years? The squad you lament, who assembled it? He assembles bang average squads, with the odd exceptional player. He manipulates the narrative to make it sound like he’s punching with the squad he has to lower expectations.

@LutonTownFans well they did lose at home to us twice during our first appearance in the Premier league... but more importantly, they were the last club in the league to contract black players, and their fans used to chant, "Everton are white!" so there's a real reason to hate them.

I can’t stand Everton. A pointless PL club that somehow stays up whenever they struggle and then always let you down when you want them to do something. Have they actually done anything in the last 30 years?

That's a wrap! Totted it up and I've worked 101 games in different roles throughout the 2025/26 season! It's all been incredible... Here's to hopefully many more in 2026/27 🤞🏼⚽📻📺🏟️

When R.E.M. released "Shiny Happy People" in 1991, a lot of fans did not know what to think. The band was mostly known for moodier alternative rock, so this bright, bubbly pop song caught people completely off guard. Adding to the energy was The B-52s singer Kate Pierson, whose vocals helped give the song that unforgettable playful sound. Ironically, the band was reportedly hesitant about the song’s bubblegum vibe, and Michael Stipe later admitted he was uncomfortable with how cheerful and commercial it sounded. Seriously? Meanwhile, it became one of their biggest hits anyway. Do you love "Shiny Happy People" or skip it every time it comes on?

@SandyofSuffolk @KirkBoller Sandy, we really did, not everybody, I'll give you that. But nobody has toploaders, B&W tvs, anymore, because they don't manufacture them nowadays. I would say the 80s was the greatest decade to be in your 20s. I was born in 1961. Pubs shut at 11pm, Clubs at 2am. Sorted!

Just so you know. Boomers didn't have fast food. Except fish and chips. Boomers didn't have ready meals. Except Vesta beef curry. Look it up. Boomers didn't have colour TVs, front loading washing machines, central heating or holidays abroad. Boomers didn't have babymoons or baby showers nor did they go on stag or hen weekends. Boomers didn't go to restaurants. Except on birthdays. Boomers didn't have new clothes every year, every season. They made do and mended. But Boomers had a fabulous time in the 1960s to 1980s because people were friendly, respectful, dignified and hardworking. Boomers also had law and order and a judiciary who punished ALL criminals. Boomers were happy with their lot. Yes. I'm a Boomer. Just so you know.
