#BacktoBasics #EPWeek2019 1. Know the hazards so you're planning is effective. 2. Make a plan to keep you focused during an emergency & know how you'll reach loved ones if you’re separated. 3. Build a household emergency kit & grab-and-go bags for everyone.

Each member of your household should have a grab-and-go bag prepped in case you have leave in a hurry. Once you've packed the basics like food and water, remember to add personal items like medications, extra glasses & seasonal clothing.

It's #TsunamiPrep Week (March 25-29). Get to know your zone at TsunamiZone.org/knowyourzone, ahead of the next tsunami, so you know where to carefully and quickly evacuate. Think about where you live, work, and travel!

What's the diff b/t a grab-and-go bag & emergency kit? G&G bag: this is for leaving your home, school or work quickly. Emerg kit: this for staying home if it's considered safe. Important items are in one place to make it easier to deal w/ lack of power/heat & food/water

For those on the south coast, the last couple days of snow are a good reminder to get prepared. Do you have what you need to be on your own for at least 72 hrs? If you did use items from your kit, be sure to restock!
