@grantmccagg @NHLRumourReport I agree that they can clean up a few other areas before paying a massive haul for someone like Thomas. Once management believes the team is ready to contend they will pull the trigger on a player they believe will bring them over the top. Not necessary right now IMO.

@NHLRumourReport The media is going to die on the hill that the Canadiens are desperately trying to give away assets for what, at best, would be a slight upgrade over Kapanen. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really think they want size/grit in the bottom six and the same at RD over such a move.
