@kstateman14 Both games were lost with the pen. Injuries have killed us, but that’s not saying the arms we have shouldn’t be capable. Embarrassing 2 games and Pete has been making questionable decisions, whether it’s on the base path or shifting every AB on a team that can easily find holes.

You needed below average pitching today. Not even mediocre pitching. You needed below average pitching to win today. And you couldn't even get that. It's a really frustrating thing to watch every year.

@PlayFor90 LB was not good, this team is completely new though so I am unsure of names. Pulskamp had a bad game, very well could’ve been an off night. CB play was also shaky, just nothing consistent from this team. Any thoughts on if they can string anything together? Overall was not ideal

@785EMAW It was definitely a 4-4-2 for most of the game. I think they do need practice. They also probably need a real LB (both were hurt). Rapha talked about how their press needs work as well.

@PlayFor90 If that’s the formation they were going with, they need practice. On defense they could not hold shape and looked more like a 433, the forwards were none existent which left the midfield WIDE open. As a spectator at the game they did not appear to play uniformly at all.

Lately their rest defense is more of a 4-4-2 with Shapi as the wide left midfielder and Meyer as the LB. Very fluid.

If Siena's Gavin Doty hadn't twisted his ankle while getting it stepped on on a breakaway early 2nd half, Siena beats Duke. Doty went cold from there on and had no shot-creating push-off. Huge break for Duke.

Once it was tied after 8 innings, they could not bring him in with a lead. It was impossible. You’re telling Mason Miller could pitch the 9th with a 1 run lead but not in a tie game? At some point you have to tell these teams they’re being unreasonable and will be ignored

@SPeeblesSports @BNightengale He can't override the Padres. They didn't want him to pitch unless it was a save situation. They have to move this tournament to a later date (mid season) so there aren't so many pitching restrictions.
