@AlexandriaVAPD I thought APD was supposed to be prioritizing patrols in this area. Kids play right where this occurred and there’s a school a block away - not to mention this happened at 5p...Basically broad daylight. Absolutely heartbreaking.

@79McMac Of the 13 founded shots fired reports this year, only handful were near each other, & those were separated by months. We take resident safety very seriously & have many proactive and reactive measures in place, but it's very difficult to prevent every individual sporadic offense.

@AlexandriaVAPD We aren’t just talking about the last couple weeks - what about the last year+? August at 3pm on a Saturday. In May bullets went through the window of Grateful Kitchen. Now gun fights on N Columbus in broad daylight. What’s APD doing about this? Is resident safety not a concern?
