The people who want to shitcoin are being paid to come up with every excuse under the sun about why filtering spam is going to lead to censorship, and every other invalid reason they can think of to try and convince you that there is nothing you can do to deter spam. They are financially incentivize to make you think filtering spam is not possible. They want you to give up so that they can scam in peace. Do not give up. Satoshi solved the Byzantine General’s problem, we can solve the spam problem. We are financially incentivized to stop the spam and as much as they are financially incentivized to scam.

@asanoha_gold It's a legit question I've never asked before as I've never seen anyone explicitly say that filtering isn't censorship. I agree with everything you said except for that one point so I was just curious on that one point.

I think this is a disingenuous comment because I am pretty sure it’s been explained to you multiple times, but I’ll answer for the engagement. Bitcoin was not designed to be an arbitrary data storage network, if it was it would have been designed differently. I own my node, I do not consent to you using it for arbitrary data storage, my node is my private property. The ledger is a public resource. Would you allow a stranger to walk into your house and store their physical photos in your bedroom? Is stopping someone from taking a shit in the community pool your children are swimming in censorship? Community pools are not for pooping in, would attempting to stop them be censoring them? Filtering non-monetary TX’s that potentially hinder or harm the intended purpose of the network is not censorship. Censorship would be stopping you from using the network to send or receive monetary transactions. Censorship would be stopping you from swimming in the community pool. You may walk into most cathedrals in the world to sit and pray, you may not draw on their walls, even if you are a master painter.
