To Dom`s point,Ethereum went from $8 to near $700-$800 in 12 months. That was largely from the ICO boom and eventually followed by a 'free pass." These RollUp kids obviously haven`t bothered to understand the position Ripple and XRP are in right now. Ripple RLUSD & XRP are staring down the barrel of $15 TRILLION in transactional volume annually. Ask yourself what is bigger,the ICO moment for Ethereum that drove it to three digits inside of a year or the $15 TRILLION value proposition staring Ripple RLUSD and XRP in the face? $1,000 XRP isn`t just coming it`s waiting for regulation to begin!

You are hinting at something important. But I think casinos are, by definition, not a new market. It's a recycled concept that has existed for hundreds of years. - Prediction Market is a new market. When was the last time it was possible to bet on when the "Israel-Iran war will end"? - When was it possible to trade "memes"? Or even JPEGs as NFTs.

I worked on Megapot for a bit and also thought about onchain casinos deeply. It doesn’t make sense unfortunately. I commend Patrick for trying to make it work but if he wants to innovate on lottery, he needs to go where the lottery crowd is already at. I’ll take on-chain as a solution if it is clear that that’s the model we need. So far, I’ve seen complex mechanics retrofitted to please crypto people. But maybe I’m wrong. I don’t throw money at chance.

One of the token i am accumulating like crazy during this bear is $ABX from @Aborean. Aborean is the flagship dex of @AbstractChain with ve (3,3) governance model. Already did a billion dollar volume with $10M TVL & $1M generated fee. But the token sits at ~500k mcap. This is extremely undervalued. You get $ABX emission by providing LP. Then lock $ABX to gain $veABX voting power. With that voting power, you earn fees from existing pools. My voting power is earning me ~35$-60$/week (depending on volatility & bribes). This is already insane considering i have locked just a bit more than 1000$ worth of $ABX (for 4 years). Aborean will grow exponentially depending on the growth of Abstract. 3 reasons why DeFi’s yield is superior: 1) DeFi yield is composable. You can stack and layer it. Build on top of it. Tap into it permissionlessly. This enables things like Trueo’s yield bearing prediction markets. Seamlessly tapping into DeFi to make our long dated markets more capital efficient. We can do that without asking anyone’s permission, and it falls outside of regulatory scope. 2) you can only access the “overnight/risk free rate” though a custodian that can play silly games with you. In DeFi, you answer to no one. Especially if the instrument has no blacklist capabilities like sDAI, yearn vault tokens, or Aave aTokens. 3) the “overnight rate” isn’t really overnight, redemptions take 30days. Secondary markets are liquid, but they too rely on custodians. In DeFi, you can withdraw at any given moment without permission. Put your money in, take your money out, and shake it all about. This may not matter to most of us 1st worlders, but it sure matters to the remainder of the planet.

rates in DeFi are too low for the level of risk $11.7B sitting in Morpho vaults today at 2-4% APY. retail is funding these markets via exchanges thinking it's a savings account. it's not. they're taking real credit risk on crypto-collateralized lending no institution accepts near risk-free rates to come on-chain not all vaults are created equal. same 2-4% yield but completely different risk profile (different curators, collateral, LLTVs). retail picks the highest number. farmers will farm back in the day >100% APYs in DeFi made sense. you were compensated for the risk you were taking. DeFi is a different animal today but vol, historical dislocations, and looping strategies on crypto collateral still demand at least 300-400 bps above risk-free. we're nowhere near that. @LucaProsperi ran the math (see below). tldr - fair value spread on ETH/BTC-collateralized lending is 250-400 bps above risk-free. observed rates are a fraction of that last cycle we saw a lot of retail pour savings into algo stablecoins promising "risk free" yield. this cycle vaults have a lot of demand but they are mispriced for the level of risk. you're trusting someone to LP into vaults and trust the manager will manage position at least private credit earned you 12-16% go read this: open.substack.com/pub/dirtroads/…
