This is pure hysteria. The only reason some of you fantasize about a federal Europe is the desperate hope of becoming another America, or at least competing with her. But you will never become America under liberal totalitarian rule. You liberals destroy everything you touch. You eat your own. You can’t even protect your women from being raped and slaughtered in your city streets, or your sons from being knifed by the radical foreign gangs you import to rig your elections. You care more about terrorists than your own citizens.
Imagine a federal Europe? You people are delusional. There will never be another United States of America. There is only one, and it cannot be imitated. The greatest, most powerful nation to ever exist stands alone.

Except they don’t. No European is packing their bags for a country where a burst appendix can take your house. Where you can lose everything you’ve ever worked for because your pancreas had a bad Tuesday.
The United States spends more on F-35s and aircraft carriers than the next ten countries combined. It has not won a war since 1945. It has, however, won the GDP numbers, which are genuinely extraordinary, and which Americans will mention within four seconds of any conversation about healthcare, housing, or the fact that 530,000 of their fellow citizens go bankrupt every year for getting ill.
Sixteen other countries solved this.

I’ve come to view Portugal as an outsized hub relative to its scale. Despite a modest land area of ~92,000 km², its geographic position: Atlantic facing, bridging Europe, Africa and the Americas, creates constant exposure to flows of trade, culture and ideas.
What stands out is not size, but balance: a population shaped by emigration and return, multilingual by necessity, adaptable by history. That tends to produce a broad, practical intelligence rather than narrow specialisation. It shows up in how quickly Portuguese operators connect dots across logistics, finance, technology and international markets.
This is not a nationalist claim; it’s an observation formed over years of direct exposure, not mediated narratives. The thesis is simple: leverage and connectivity beat scale.
I don’t argue, I debate. Understanding comes from structured thinking, not empty words.
