@82Natron@krassenstein@BartemyS You mean like trump did when he got elected in 2016? One of his first moves was to remove Preet Bahara as the DA of the Southern District of NY because he was investigating the trump business dealings in NY.
So let me get this straight. Because Trump was arraigned today under the Espionage act that means that Joe Biden is “the most corrupt president in the history of our country”?
Are people actually watching this speech and thinking to themselves that the current president, who isn’t accused of violating the espionage act, and who hasn’t been indicted on 68 felony counts, is the one that is the “most corrupt president in the history of our country”?
@krassenstein@BartemyS Based on the DA of this case pursuing a criminal case against Trump where they have shown no receipts or evidence at all of these events happening and the POTUS can hire or fire the DA’s of the 94 Federal Districts at any time, therefore being able to have one in his pocket
@krassenstein@mrwndrflxoxo Again, it’s an indictment, it doesn’t mean that he’s guilty. Whether or not any of the charges stick, he’s innocent right now. I don’t imagine public support for Trump will die down until they get a guilty verdict and even then it’s questionable
BREAKING: The Senate GOP, including GOP leader Mitch McConnell appear as if they are ready for the party to move on from Trump.
Mitch McConnell reportedly says that Trump is a drag on the party and a "flawed" general election candidate.
Senate Republicans John Thune and John Cornyn have also indicated that they do not support Trump to win the party’s 2024 nomination.
Is this a turning point?
Will it stick? Thoughts?
@krassenstein@StephHoover8 What is the process behind declassifying documents as the POTUS? Can you sign executive orders to declassify documents, or does it have to go through some sort of committee or vote?
I agree. I think where we disagree is that the circumstances vary greatly in all of these cases. Trump, according to the allegations, hid nuclear secrets, knowingly in his office, among national security secrets of our nation and others. You can’t compare that to Hillary who had an employee delete emails prior to being subpoenaed.
After Jack Smith’s indictment of Trump, one of the top trends on Twitter has been “Hillary”.
This tells me 3 things:
1) People don’t understand the facts behind the Clinton email scandal.
2) There is no way Trump can win in 2024 if his supporters are comparing him to the woman they despise so much, in order to pretend his alleged crimes are mild.
3) Trump supporters appear to believe he’s guilty. They have shifted their focus from rationalizing his innocence to trying to rationalize why he shouldn’t go to prison.
Innocent people spend their time proving their innocence. Guilty people spend their time trying to prove that the people prosecuting them are guilty.
Watching MAGA react after they read the 49-page indictment has solidified my opinion that Trump is done. Move on GOP. There are so many better people out there in your party.
@MJ54@thisistheevan@NHLPlayerSafety An instigator of an altercation is a player who demonstrates any of the following actions: distance travelled; gloves off first; first punch thrown; menacing attitude. A player deemed an instigator will receive an instigating minor penalty.
Edmonton’s Darnell Nurse has been automatically suspended for one game and Coach Jay Woodcroft has been fined $10,000 under rule 46.21, Instigating in Final Five Minutes of Regulation.
@JustinTrudeau “Because our Government is Pro Choice” right, just like the Liberal Party gives us choice on guns, civil liberties and which public sidewalks to stand on
We’ll always protect a woman’s right to choose – and we’ll keep working to improve access to abortion services for everyone. Because our government is proudly pro-choice. And we always will be.
@krassenstein If you have a legitimate case of SA/Rape and you have the evidence and receipts to prove it, why go to a civil court and not a criminal court? Would those be two separate things in America or am I mistaken?
I just have to say a few things about the E. Jean Carroll verdict as well as Trump's reaction:
#1 We all should support the verdict and the legitimacy of the American judicial system. Trump can always appeal if he feels it was unfair.
#2 Trump's post following the verdict is absolutely disgusting, saying: "I have absolutely no idea who this woman is. This verdict is a disgrace - a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time!"
To pretend that he still doesn't know who Carroll is after a jury has found him liable of sexual assault, is to add salt in her wounds. It's pathetic, it's childish and it's just plain cruel.
#3 I hope that everyone takes into account the outcome of this trial when deciding on the next president.
I want to hear your thoughts if you think this will change anything in the GOP primary.
@RepSwalwell You’re one of the Representatives of the Democrat Party with the worst Presidential Approval Rate in American History. Tucker Carlson actually has people that care about what he says and doesn’t pass him off as a Democratic Stooge

You’ve paid into Social Security and Medicare from the first paycheck you ever earned.
MAGA Republicans want to cut both programs. I’m determined to protect them.
@CBCNews I absolutely loved the moment where the state affiliated media reported on another state affiliated media quit Twitter for being what it is, such a strong and brave moment!
National Public Radio is quitting Twitter over the social media company's recent actions under owner Elon Musk to label it as "state-affiliated media."
NPR says the label is meant to undermine its credibility. cbc.ca/news/world/npr…
BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene just blamed the Nashville shooting on “hormones like testosterone and medications for mental illness.”
Enough is enough!
It’s the f-cking guns!
Every nation on the planet has mental health issues. What most of them don’t have are guns and gun deaths like we do.
Greene is a worthless politician trying to spread hate and spark imaginary culture wars. She is a horrible person.
I just vetoed my first bill.
This bill would risk your retirement savings by making it illegal to consider risk factors MAGA House Republicans don't like.
Your plan manager should be able to protect your hard-earned savings — whether Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene likes it or not.
Look, I’m a capitalist.
I have no problem with companies making reasonable profits.
But not absurd levels on the backs of working families and seniors – it's about basic fairness.
