But there’s a much bigger story beyond Candace’s "mistaken" reporting. The story is how lying has become the default operating system for huge swaths of both legacy media and the new online right. The Grift Industrial Complex rewards speed, sensationalism, and telling the audience exactly what it wants to hear over anything resembling journalistic standards, due diligence, or basic honesty.
