If you have a CMD FD-2000 or FD-4000 drive that constantly has data being updated and added to it what do you find is the best and easiest way to back it up on the regular? ZoomFloppy, using U64/C64U VR drives? Would love to hear your input on this! #Commdore

I have this happen often, thus my many "Attic Finds" posts over the past few years. I have found so much I forgot about that is threw in our attic when we bought our home in 1999. Full computer systems, software, books etc... Anytime I go up in the attic it at times turns in tp Christmas!

Who else owns enough #retrocomputing gear that they forget what they own? Lately I've been wishing I had a Commodore 1084 monitor for my Amiga and a few other things. I was searching on eBay and they were all either too expensive or in questionable condition. Today I was cleaning out a closet upstairs when I spy a monitor on the floor of the closet and I thought it was my Apple color monitor. I pull it out, and it's a 1084! And it works! It has the two most common issues with these monitors, the power button is stuck on, and the front control panel cover is missing. Both fairly easy fixes, I can replace the power switch and 3-D print a cover. It does need to be degaussed and recapped.

Are you freaking serious? This is way overboard & as Mrs 8-Bit says "you can fix ugly but not stupid!" No matter what there is, no way this is worth the asking $$$ & just killing the real value of retro causing the snow ball effect that effects all aspects of retro with listings like this. @FloppyDeepDive @gamesyouloved Damn great game! And yes killed my buddy often in 2 player! This was the game if I think back, I was playing often when my mom would come in my room and tell me its time to go to Tae Kwon Do. Such a great game!

Too funny and great taste!! When I got F-15 Strike Eagle my best freind would come over afterschool most days and we would do our missions to take out the Lybians. Being that time was when Regean was dealing with Lybia we felt so obligated to do our part on the Commodore! LOL Nearly 40 years later that same friend on occasion will call up and say "I need to come over for some F-15 Strike Eagle" You simulated setup today sounds nice, I am looking for a new Yoke myself. A year and half ago I bought an all new fastest intel machine with the best geforce (then current was 4xxx serise) and I have only fired up Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 2 times in all that time. Life stuff ya know.

Those were my favorite 3 on the C64 also. I got Flight Simulator II on the C64 for Christmas in 84. I had F15 Strike Eagle and Gunship. When I upgraded to a PC a large number of my games were flight simulators. I've got rudder pedals and a full yoke for my current setup. Someday I may invest in a full panel and more, but there's only so much money....and space.

Kids today just would not have survived gaming in the 80s and 90s. I'm watching a YouTube video right now where a guy is complaining that Doom is only running at about 50 frames per second and he calls that "almost unplayable". My first flight simulator ran at about five frames per second and that's probably not a lie.
