I think you’re focused a little too much on the fact it wasn’t a direct quote, and not focused enough on the fact Tucker 100% praised sharia law and heavily implied cities and cultures under sharia law are better than those in the west.
I’ve used “sarcastic quotes” before to make a point, to add context, but let’s just concede he didn’t say those exact words.
Here’s what he did say, and I’ve chopped up the video for time but feel free to watch the whole thing and you’ll see the context is accurate.
• Not a SINGLE western city that’s thriving.
• Says he has contempt for those cities
• Praises cities under sharia law and says they are amazing
• Says there are extremists in OUR country because it’s being degraded, unlike those he just implied under sharia law, which again, he thinks are amazing.
• Says our problem is a loss of values, implying the values of sharia law are what makes those amazing cities amazing.
I also added the video of him sarcastically claiming he would “never” want our cities to end up like the ones under sharia law. He obviously thinks America would be better under Islamic rule.
So you can nitpick about the quote not being word for word, but he definitely said that Sharia Law produces better societies than Western civilization.
