Who would Nate even fight in the UFC? There isn’t a ranked opponent he beats at 55/70 You’d have to go get another “big name” in a pointless fight. It doesn’t enhance a division or put anyone over. So Nate fights and wins. What’s next? You just gonna keep taking spots on PPVs so Nate can fight random ppl for a cash grab? If this was 10 years ago, this would be MASSIVE. But now its clearly a cash grab

I can tell you the UFC was interested in bringing Nate Diaz back, but at the end of the day, this was a no-brainer for Nate. I don't think it's going out on a limb to say this could be the most-watched MMA card of all time, because it's on the biggest platform in the world. You go out and win this fight, and all of a sudden you can go back to the UFC and say, 'Alright, the number just changed.' This level of competition is great for the fighters and the health of the sport.

Genuine question for my prospect/OHL friends because I haven't had the chance to watch him yet: Why is Nikita Klepov widely viewed outside the Top 20 by the scouts right now? Leading the OHL in points as a late birthday and solid size already. The scouting reports I've read don't even say he has like a GLARING weakness such as skating or IQ. All describe him as a skilled player with a solid motor. I know the OHL is not what it used to be, but this profile usually is like a top 11-18 guy.

Obviously, Hutson is much better right now. Schaefer is younger, but I don’t know if you can teach the things Hutson does. I think Schaefer tracks out to be more like a little bit better version of Heiskanen once he settles into a sustainable role more.

If Eloy does end up making the roster, the odd man out is either a Nathan Lukes trade or Davis Schneider starting the year in AAA. Myles Straw is a worse hitter than both by a wide margin but is the only viable backup CF option on the 40-man roster to spell Varsho. He's safe.
