@ForFunchillz @DomUn1que @tavkniesnythews That’s the thing. Who knows what route they go with Knies. Do they prefer a young highly viewed prospect like Nemec? Or would they prefer going the route of maximizing draft picks and prospects to refill the cupboard.
All I know is that they shouldn’t allow Brad to rebuild.

@KrisStellick @habs_phoenix For sure kyper loves baiting the leafs fan base haha. If Knies does get move they need to somehow land a number 1 or 2 defender.
It’s going to be interesting the next 2 years how the leafs put the pieces back together.

I agree with Dom. They’re going to need to somehow draft a 1D this year or next year. Top 5 protected this year and top 10 protected next year.

@ForFunchillz @DomUn1que @tavkniesnythews You don’t think the leafs potentially look at tearing it all down. They have nothing in the prospect pool, they have zero picks in the first 2 rounds this year (depending how hard they can tank).
They can’t magically fix this in 2 years and become a contender again.

The average prospect takes atleast 2-3 years before they compete in the NHL. By then Matthews and nylander will be at the end of their prime.

The leafs exploring a Knies trade just shows potential full rebuild.
The fan base don’t realize it yet, but they can’t fix this in 2 years. The leafs are depleted draft pick/prospect wise.
