It’s good advice to get checked. It’s also true that getting checked does not equal avoiding aortic dissection. My dad was up to date on all his check-ups (and also active and lowkey kind of health-obsessed if anything) and he, too, died of an aortic dissection at 69. The idea that getting checked enough means it won’t happen to us or our loved ones is something we tell ourselves to feel better rather than the truth.

Don’t be stupid and die from a disease that’s preventable and treatable if you catch it in time. If you’re overweight, now is the perfect time to get healthy. Police have their hands full with an intoxicated man at a restaurant as the customers literally applaud as he is removed.
Delray Beach Police officers responded to a beachside bar after management and concerned patrons reported a man causing a disruption by yelling and harassing multiple people inside.
When officers confronted the individual outside to issue a formal trespass order, he refused to cooperate, launching into a rant about authority before actively resisting the officers' attempts to detain him.
Dude proclaimed he had the power and honestly thought he would scare the officers into leaving. Instead he earned that trip to jail and was booked for tresspass and resisting arrest.
