🇺🇸📖 As America approaches her 250th birthday, we are reminded that our nation’s story, like Amazing Grace, is one of redemption, perseverance, and hope. Written by John Newton after a life transformed by God’s mercy, the hymn became an anthem of grace after brokenness. For 250 years, United States has faced trials, victories, failures, and renewal. Yet through every generation, God’s grace has carried us. “Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come…” As we look to the next 250 years, may America be strengthened by faith, humbled by gratitude, and guided by truth. Amazing grace indeed. 🇺🇸

🚨 Today, the America First Policy Institute filed a lawsuit challenging the Washington State Department of Corrections’ policy housing male inmates who identify as women in the state’s prison for women. The suit was filed on behalf of plaintiffs Fair for All, Inc. and Faith Booher-Smith, a female inmate at the Washington Corrections Center for Women who alleges she was violently attacked by a male inmate transferred into the facility under the challenged policy.

There’s a reason this hymn stills the room. Its power lies in the fact that it wasn’t born of comfort, but of unimaginable grief. In 1873, after losing his young son and his fortune, Horatio Spafford sent his wife and four daughters ahead to Europe. Their ship sank, and only his wife survived. As Horatio later sailed to reach her, the captain paused the vessel over the spot where his daughters were lost. It was there, amid the waves of his own heartbreak, that he penned the words: “It is well with my soul.” This timeless declaration of faith is brought to life here by the Zero 8 Chorus. It reminds us that peace isn’t the absence of pain, but a strength that carries us through it.

That is why Scripture calls us to pray for those in authority and ask God to grant them wisdom, protection, and strength. Today we pray for our leaders, for peace in our nation, and for hearts turned back to God. “I exhort therefore, that... prayers... be made for all men; ...for all that are in authority.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2

🙏 A Prayer for the Protection of Our President and Nation’s Leaders 🙏🇺🇸 Heavenly Father, in light of the concerning incidents reported surrounding tonight’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, we come before You asking for Your divine protection over @POTUS, @FLOTUS, the Cabinet, and all those in attendance. Lord, shield them from harm, danger, and evil intentions. Surround them with capable protection, clear discernment, and Your perfect peace. Expose anything hidden that seeks to cause disruption or injury. Grant wisdom to security personnel, calm in moments of uncertainty, and strength to those entrusted with leadership. Protect this nation from division and violence, and turn hearts toward peace, respect, and truth. We ask that You continue to watch over America and those called to serve her. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.” Isaiah 54:17 In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🇺🇸
