@phoenix669056 @EndgameaiChess still i think this is net benefit for both him and gukesh, experiencing chess burnout at this early age might actually make them more mature in the future

@EndgameaiChess That is very wise of him. Gukesh took 1 year to figure that out. But, then Gukesh did this when he was 17 and over pushing is what got him there. Following Gukesh when he was trying to qualify was a roller coaster. Waiting for Norway to see some crashes.

🇺🇿 Javokhir Sindarov: “I underestimated the tournament” After a difficult start following the Candidates Tournament, Sindarov admitted that he may have rushed back into elite events too quickly. “I think the problem is that I didn’t take this tournament seriously enough. This is my big mistake. After the Candidates Tournament, I probably should have taken a short rest, but instead I immediately started playing very strong tournaments. Here there are no easy opponents. Everyone is well prepared, and it’s incredibly hard to play. I spent a huge amount of energy at the Candidates Tournament, and maybe I really needed to rest a bit. In any case, this is a good lesson. Now I’ll try to follow my coach’s advice: to play solidly and not try to press too hard in every game.”

@MaxMurrayX @EndgameaiChess the entitlment classical chess gets is so crazy, blitz is just as important and is not inferior to classical chess at all, if that was case, then the best classical players would not be the best blitz players

Rapid chess is better for people making money off the game through casual spectating, but is playing chess moves quickly better for the game of chess? No, it is not. Chess played quickly is arguably not even chess. The game is about the truth on the board, not about how quickly the moves are played for people who don't understand them.

🇭🇺 Judit Polgar: “Classical chess is going through a difficult time” In an interview with Firstpost, Judit Polgar spoke about classical chess, faster formats, and the future of the Chess Olympiad: “I think classical games are going through a difficult time in some sense because the pace of life has accelerated in every area. It is quite obvious that rapid chess is more attractive to the strongest players, perhaps not only to Magnus, but also to others. And I really believe rapid chess can be just as competitive. It can even be more interesting for spectators. For example, the Chess Olympiad is currently played in a classical format and lasts two weeks. I firmly believe that, for many reasons, it would make much more sense to hold it in just one week and with shorter time controls.”

if I had $100K , I wouldn’t give just anyone $27.50 either. If my cousin or sibling called me for $27.50, I would say no. not because i couldn’t afford it, but because my generosity is also valuable and I’m not letting them think they can just hit me up for money whenever they want it

Tristan Tate’s hilarious rant responding to haters who say “real” rich people don’t buy $5,000,000 cars and show off their wealth: "Maybe you're right, but guess what, I'm a n*gger from the streets, and I have made hundreds of millions of dollars, so I act accordingly." 💀😂

@JoshNoLook who is you bruh 😭😭 Levy is genuinely the most important personality in chess history, he has made chess popular more than any other person ever. "Irrelevant IM" yet nobody can make chess as relevant and exciting to all types of chess audiences as he does

An otherwise irrelevant IM teaching chess to wealthy kids in NYC gets boosted by chesscom and Nakamura into a major content creator. He then gets to build Chessly, and chesscom even promotes his books in their events. Nakamura doesn't get that same freedom.

Javokhir Sindarov is now on a stunning 4.5/5 after beating the World nos 2 & 3 in the kind of performance we haven't seen in an event of this importance since Veselin Topalov started the 2005 FIDE World Championship with 6.5/7! #FIDECandidates

So this dude doesn’t mind living in a country with other Moroccan jews (Over 1 Million between Morocco, Israel, Canada, US and France) and we have ties with Israel as well. See, if you try enough to coexist, you will manage to do and that something Palestinians and Israelis should have done in both their countries.

A Palestinian from Gaza living in Morocco: “I was confronted by an armed robber who told me “My friend, give me what you have or I will carve your face with a knife.” I told him: “My friend, I’ve gone through three wars and didn’t die, it would be shameful to die at your hands.” The armed robber asked me, ‘Where are you from?’ I said, “I am from Palestine.” He then hugged me and told me: “ If you need anything, I’m here. I’ll go rob others and bring it to you, but you won’t need anything.” Source: AJ+ published about 3 years ago.
