@FischerKing64 Too many can't see the forest through the trees. They lose sight of two coming SCOTUS retirements and one justice in ill health. The court could become a 7-2 conservatives court or quickly swing to a 5-4 liberal court. Sitting out elections is the way to lose that court.

The power grab of the federal judiciary is a critical reason why losing the midterms, and especially the 2028 POTUS election would be terrible. These rulings will be rubber stamped - and be forever. So you don’t start stupid wars, you don’t grant corrupt pardons.

Tomorrow there are oral arguments on birthright citizenship. The questions of the justices could give some insight into how they will rule. But the written opinion isn't likely till the summer. So relax a little - tomorrow is not really a "momentous day."

This was reportedly a focused strike on hardened infrastructure in Isfahan, a nuclear facility, using bunker-buster bombs. Let’s review the geopolitics: Peaceful nuclear aspirations don’t need to be built under bunkers. Strike now or deal with an Islamist version of North Korea later. And yes, they were actively rebuilding the facilities after the first strike, Operation Midnight Hammer. These simple facts continue to get lost in the debate over this incredibly bold foreign policy action. The action against Iran is long term thinking. The easy political thing to do would be to agree to a crappy deal and move on. That would be short term thinking.

Imagine you are a working father living in the Midwest, you make 75k a year. You can support your family, but you're not rich. You worry about paying for college. Then you read about some Somalian stealing $1m out of federal healthcare programs. $1 million for the normal guy would eliminate an enormous amount of his stress. The college thing would be covered. Retirement wouldn't appear so daunting. It's why guys like this buy lottery tickets. And instead he pays into the system and watches "newcomers" make a complete ass out of him. This fraud is bad financially, but it just makes a mockery of all the hard work of normal people and tears away at the social fabric.
