What happened after that big Logan Paul auction with AJ Scaramucci for the Pikachu Illustrator? @AANCollect brings up a fantastic point. How come Ken Goldin's been silent since? 👀 He took major backlash from his post addressing the "haters".

I had a card listed on eBay for 4 dollars. Someone offered me 2. I don’t even negotiate at that point, straight decline. If you are wanting 50 % off a 4 dollar card you can kick rocks. Opinions? @CardPurchaser

If you are trying to unload merchandise to stores and trying to build relationships. Don’t be insulting. A lot of the stores do talk to each other. You are likely ruining your chance to get any deals done.

@MoeB1988 @card_plaza I have accounts with all official one piece distribution. Zero are taking money 8 months in advance. As a matter of fact a lot of what these folks are saying either only apply to them or are made up.

There are only two main distributors that accept current OP preorders (GTS & Alliance in the US), there’s a couple in Canada as well, but they all follow the same procedure. They are not taking your money until you have an invoice for exact allocations. You put in your numbers, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be allocated the amount you requested. Now, if you’re dealing with a middle man, that may be different, but also way more dangerous and not official in any way.

I’m going to give you advice as someone who started as online only. Don’t presell what you don’t know you have. I see it’s been a problem for you. Also don’t pass your mistake costs on to your customers. You seem to want to do right, but the optics look bad. You can think I’m being an asshole, but I am truly giving you advice that will help you. Run your business the way you want. But unnecessary risk can be avoided.

@AANCollect Ok but we are online only. We aren’t the same. Sure you have a local store but our distribution is way different then yours, we don’t order Pre-Release kits or host tournaments, we have to buy un-wanted products to even get the TCGs in demand.

No…. That’s how allocation works. I’m not going to knock you because that’s not ethical. But you need to be careful with preordering. We literally just got op15 numbers. That prereleases in a week. These fluctuate especially for stores that aren’t tcg+.
CardPlaza@card_plaza

@AANCollect Ok and but that’s just Bandai, and distributors controlling the market. Per usual. Regardless of that we still manage.

@AANCollect Unfortunately that’s not true, there’s many distributors out there. We aren’t Walmart or Target, but we definitely get a bunch of cases and order from our accounts when Orders go live.

@card_plaza No…. At first I was concerned about you as a business. Then I see things like this that are simply not true. You pay when it ships. Zero distribution does this.

@AANCollect These are just Pre-Order Drops, we usually expect a certain amount of cases during our allocation numbers, and that’s why we post them beforehand, same as all online shops & bigger online shops.

@RyanStadler79 @LememeJames Yes. Insurance will make the seller whole. That means 50k minus 3000 in fees. He did not receive 50k from the sale. That’s what you are missing.

@AANCollect @LememeJames We are not talking about eBay here, even though this discussion went on an eBay sidetrack. We are talking about how much eBay refunded the buyer, from the sellers account, and the amount UPS INSURANCE may pay him. The seller isn't fighting with eBay anymore, he is dealing w UPS.

Seller sells and ships a Goodwin Champs Michael Jordan auto PSA dual 10. Buyer claims an empty box received. eBay sides with the buyer and refunds $50K back to him. What are your thoughts on this situation? How can you protect yourself as a seller from this happening? Buyers seem to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to eBay. Just overall, a very unfortunate situation

@RyanStadler79 @LememeJames The buyer is made whole. The amount that was paid to the seller, they refund. Any fees are refunded by eBay. If he had the full amount taken, he needs to call customer service.

@AANCollect @LememeJames Not quite sure what you are saying here. My point was he stated he would/could recover 3k less than what would make him "whole". Basically 50k was taken from his account to go back to buyer, 47k may be paid to him. Again, I can't find the post so maybec I am missing something.
