Believing that billionaires are fighting for the working class requires an almost comical level of delusion.

The way you people whine about Muslims you’d genuinely think that Muslims across Europe are committing various genocides, oppressing you, hunting you, stealing your land. But they’re not. The sole genocide committed in Europe in the last 80 years was committed against Muslims!

An American Jew who was born in New York in 1944 and an Ethiopian Jew born in Ethiopia can both turn up and get citizenship, rights, votes, land, homes. Palestinians who were born there, whose families have have lived there for generations, remain refugees in the surrounding countries, denied a right to return to their lands, despite holding onto keys and property deeds. This is Zionism.
Rabbi Avi Weiss@RabbiAviWeiss

My wife Toby and I are in @Israel becoming citizens. At the Interior Ministry, the official reviewing our papers - a Jew who came from Ethiopia in 1991 - asked me for proof that I was Jewish. I showed him letters from our rabbi. As I did so, tears began to flow. I told him: “I remember the 1970s and ’80s, when we marched and protested so Ethiopian Jews could come home to Israel. Back then, many questioned whether Ethiopian Jews were Jewish at all. We insisted our Black brothers and sisters were as Jewish as any of us.” And now, 35 years later, here was a holy Ethiopian Jew confirming my Judaism. We had come full circle. Holding his hand, I sang: “Zeh hayom asah Hashem, nagilah ve’nismechah bo” - This is the day God has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Jews from East and West have returned home together. Am Yisrael chai v’yichyeh.

Last time I checked there is no Muslim nation currently waging war on a non Muslim one. Nor are we forcibly and violently displacing non Muslims from their homes. Defence yes, not the aggressors. We're not 'invading' or trying to 'take over'. Israel and the U.S. are though, interesting for you to exclude the actual realities. It is exactly this dangerous and fabricated rethoric that radicalises young, impressionable people to carry out merciless shootings, as we've just witnessed at an Islamic school in San Diego. Hold your head in shame.
John Cleese@JohnCleese

Nice to see Starmer's concern for so many of his voters One way to reduce Muslim worries about safety would be for them to stop laying emphasis on taking over other people's countries, with all the killing of infidels that this would apparently entail This looks like aggression to non-Muslim people of an anxious disposition Goodness knows why

It’s wild how 3 deaths from Hantavirus got more media attention than Israel killing ~3,000 civilians in Lebanon.

I go to this mosque every Friday. There’s an older gentleman in his 70s who walks around handing everyone a piece of candy with the warmest smile on his face, followed by a quiet prayer he whispers for the person receiving it. He doesn’t want anyone dead. I don’t want anyone dead. And nobody I’ve met there wants anyone dead. Yet based on your tweets, I’d bet you’d rather see every person in that mosque erased for simply being Muslim. Funny how the people constantly accusing others of hate are usually the ones consumed by it themselves.

The mosque that was “supposedly” shot up today. Just remember the people who attend this mosque want us all to be killed. We will be told they are such amazing people. I’m not advocating for violence. I condemn violence. I am showing you how evil this mosque is and always has been. It should be raided by ICE and the FBI.

Saw a patient today with a hemoglobin of 1.9 g/dL. For context, a level that low is almost incompatible with normal consciousness, but she walked right into the clinic on her own feet. For three long years, she lived with crushing weakness and since last 6 months breathlessness from just walking across a room. Why didn’t she get help sooner? At first, it was because the kids had crucial school exams and later her husband was reluctant to deal with the hassle of a hospital admission. Her health was treated as a background inconvenience. When we dug deeper, it got worse. A year ago, her Hb was 6.4 g/dL. A doctor explicitly told them she needed immediate admission. The family refused, walked out with a basic strip of iron tablets, she took them for two weeks, forgot about them, and nobody in the house ever bothered to check on her or remind her. She didn't even come to the hospital today because of the air hunger. She came because her periods had completely stopped for months. Her body was so profoundly starved of iron and oxygen that it literally shut down her reproductive axis just to divert what little blood she had left to her heart and brain. It’s completely heartbreaking. A woman will literally bleed her body dry, gasp for air for years and keep working silently, only to be brought to a doctor when her normal functioning stops. Please check on the women in your homes. Stop letting them normalize chronic exhaustion.

Brother Amin Abdullah was the guard at the mosque in San Diego for years. He was instrumental in stopping the shooters from reaching the children today. This was his final post on FB. On these holiest days, may Allah have mercy on him and accept him as a martyr. Ameen
