@MikeDecentra @allenholub I think that you mean enable. But it doesn't. Developers just estimate higher so that they feel more likely to hit their target.

People ask "how can I decide what to do in a Sprint if I don't estimate?" That's an easy one. Dump the Sprint. Just stop. Today. How exactly does a Sprint contribute to delivering value to your customers?

@swardley Send SAFe consultants of mass distraction especially. One way tickets. Or is that against the Geneva convention?

@allenholub These all are about management control and visibility, with SAFe being the highest, followed by Scrum and finally Kanban. My preference is for the latter as at that is the most agile of the three.

I look at SAFe, & even Kanban and Scrum, & wonder why ppl want to add complexity to what is, after all, simple. Almost none of the things these systems espouse are necessary (or desirable). I guess there's money in making the easy hard. Just do the most valuable small thing next.

I meant “process” instead of “planning.” Additional steps before you can do or change a thing. Okay people?? I’m not against all planning sheesh

Every bit of planning and coordination you add decreases your ability to respond You think you're adding safety but you're destroying it.

@BBCPolitics Labour's approach is facile: to follow only Sage advice on controlling the virus without regard for the negative economic and social side-effects. They would not adopt this if they were in govt. It's nothing more than naked political opportunism.

@chr1sa The problem is that "widespread prosperity" is limited to those in green. And for that the entire planet has to suffer from US Imperialism. Europe does it somewhat better on the whole.

Inequality is not a bug in the US system; it's a feature. That's what it means to be a capitalism-based country: maximum opportunity invariably leads to inequality. Our "safety net" is widespread prosperity. Our job is to push that as far and wide as possible

What would be a good/cheap platform to deploy a #blazor server application? At the moment it has a SQL Server back-end (2 databases), but the number of users would be very small. Could do Azure, but it seems overkill.

@ADefWebserver Things looking up for you Michael if you are thinking about those kind of speed boats 😀? Blazor is pretty awesome. Am doing my first side project ever in my 50th year mostly because of how quick and easy it is to develop in Blazor.

@EdCharbeneau @shanselman Vitamin D should also be taken with K2 i.e. Cheese, Egg Yolks for optimal heart health. I take it that @shanselman is also taking vitamin B1 to reduce the chances of retinal and kidney damage, though maybe it's not necessary if his closed loop insulin system works that well.

@shanselman I've taken Vitamin D for 20 years. I get GI spasms without it. It's debilitating. The members mark D3 + Calcium is enough for me. Costs about $9 a year.

@RonJeffries I was reading James Clear's principle of inversion. jamesclear.com/inversion Reading this: "Similarly, if innovation is a core piece of your business model you can ask, “How could we make this company less innovative?" I immediately thought "Adopt SAFe"

Love #Blazor webassembly : 1. Data binding - trivial 2. The Shared project allows for you to change your model and see those changes on the client side immediately. 3. Easy Page Routing 4. Reusable C# 5. Javascript library of the month not required Thanks @stevensanderson
