@getjonwithit I believe Wolfram's Ruliad is more important as a paradigm, a layer of abastraction, that enables us to think about it in more computational terms and relate it to other concepts from epistemology.

In the fully axiomatic/“ruliadic” (maximal observer) case, one recovers the rationalism of Descartes and Spinoza (or, perhaps more accurately, the subjective idealism of Berkeley). Or anything in between. None is inherently more fundamental - it's your choice. Have fun! (10/10)
