I just found out about recency bias, and I have to say that out of all the biases, it’s my favorite.

And this is quite interesting... "If you stop taking [Ozempic], you tend to not still enjoy the benefits. It's like statins. It's a drug that you do seemingly have to take for the rest of your life. A lot of people are going to be really uncomfortable taking a drug like this for the rest of their life." - @DKThomp podclips.com/c/weight-loss-…

On the muscle loss argument: "They're starting to think about pairing these GLP-1 drugs with muscle retention or muscle growth drugs. And so the Ozempic Revolution is stimulating a revolution in muscle growth medicine." - @DKThomp podclips.com/c/the-ozempic-…

.@DKThomp on Ozempic: "Most people think of these drugs as weight loss drugs. And I am on the train of no, you should actually maybe think of them as psychiatric drugs that work through your gut ... One trial found that people on Ozempic went on longer walks. There's a Morgan Stanley survey that found that patients on GLP-1s ate 60% less candy and 40% more vegetables. It seems to reduce smoking for smoking addicts, gambling for gambling addicts, and even for some compulsive nail-biting." @BillSimmons podclips.com/c/derek-thomps…

According to the @hubermanlab podcast episode on Cold and Flu, one of the best supplements to prevent/cure is NAC. So, I bought it. If I were a flu/cold virus, I would definitely fucking nope out of any organism bold enough to consume a supplement that smells THIS BAD. #health

@hubermanlab How does one get sunlight in Canada in the winter time? We can go many days without it and the sun only rises late in the morning, if it does.

Take care of yourself and take care of others. Daily investment in the 6 pillars is the way: morning sunlight, daily movement, quality nutrition, stress control, healthy relationships, deep sleep. Re-up every 24hrs so you can contribute and support others consistently too.

Which in turn makes certain people more reactive the next day… OK that’s not proven but it’s also not hard to observe. REM sleep is known to be key for daytime emotion regulation. HLP series about SLEEP with @sleepdiplomat coming soon.

A night cap 🍺or a glass of wine 🍷 before bedtime may make you fall asleep. But does it affect overall #sleep ? This paper used a crossover design to test the effect of bedtime alcohol on sleep throughout the night. Alcohol reduced REM sleep. #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">academic.oup.com/sleep/advance-…
