*NEW* Do you live in the Edmonton region, and have surgery scheduled for later this month or after April 1st? The UCP 3 Stooges (Lagrange, Smith & Jones) canceled the Hospitalists contracts as of March 31st, 2026. This means they're no longer required to (Cont.) /1

Dear Governor @RonDeSantis, This is for all the marbles… The Stanley Cup! 🥅 🏒 Our Edmonton Oilers are going to beat the Florida Panthers and when we do, would you send some of your finest Florida rum to Alberta for us to celebrate with? If by some miracle the Panthers win the series, then I will send some fine Alberta-made whiskey down to Florida. Do you agree? 👍

@CoryBMorgan @JStregger There are no longer patient paper files. All documentation is put into a patients electronic health care file in a program called Netcare.

@JStregger I understand the need for documentation. Just questioning the volume of it.

Serious question as I am genuinely curious. This year I have spent more time in hospital wards than I have in my entire life. Not for myself, but for family members. I had a lot of time to observe things and I am wondering about processes. While the doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals are excellent when they come around and are clearly great at what they do, I see them spending more time staring at computer screens than I ever see them making the rounds. What administrative obligations are happening that require so much tapping and typing rather than attending patients? I know hospitals are large, complicated affairs. Things need to be tracked from medications to vitals to schedules. All the same, does it really have to take that much time? We are always looking to improve hospital services. I find it hard to believe that efficiencies can't be found so that trained people can spend more time with people in need rather than filling out nebulous documents. What is happening there? What are the requirements that keep so many people seated and typing when they could be doing other things? Not trying to point fingers. Just trying to make sense of it.

@corsent As we get older, we truely need to celebrate our “another trip around the sun”. Birthdays are a privilege denied to so many. Birthdays beat the alternative! Eat cake - celebrate YOU.

Danielle Smith’s plans to take over 50 percent of the CPP funds to start her Alberta Pension Plan and her plan to use her Sovereignty Act to avoid following 2035 net zero targets are both examples of fanciful thinking. The federal government and every other province in the CPP would never allow Smith to get her claws on CPP funds that belong to Canadians across the country. And Smith’s Sovereignty Act cannot produce a secret legislative shortcut or constitutional magic wand to escape 2035 net zero targets. In the end “All this fanciful fantasizing makes the government look silly. It’s damaging their credibility, which in turn undermines the very causes they’re championing.”edmontonjournal.com/opinion/column…

Superheroes aren't just in comics! Today, window washers at the Alberta Children’s Hospital turned into real-life superheroes, fighting grime while putting smiles on the faces of our youngest patients and their families.

@ianhanomansing If I wanted a job pumping gas, I would apply. I do not go to self serve. If I wanted to ring my purchase through and bag, I would apply for that job. I support people having jobs.

So how do you feel about self-checkout at stores? And receipt checks by security guards after you scan and pay? We've got a story coming up tonight on The National. Your turn.

Re Lab Services Premier, it is well passed the time to be chatting with Dynalife. Be proactive. Rehire Precision. These were AHS Employees that were efficient. Today is June 12. The earliest a person can get a lab appointment in Calgary is July 15. Not acceptable.

Premier, bring back Precision Labs in the Calgary AHS Zone. It was efficient and worked. And while you are at it, cancel the private contracts in AHS Retail Foods and hire back those Employees that faced layoff. Admit the mistake. Fix it and drive on.
