@Evans_RB @smonter42 @JessePeltan I was thinking this too. With the security features as well. But it just wasnt the case. Tesla parts cost $$$$$. Replacement headlamp is 1400$ to 2500$ depending on model. So if you have an small crash that destroys a headlight. Good luck.

@smonter42 @JessePeltan Insurance is ridiculous on the Teslas.. i have USAA and had to get rid of my Tesla because my daughter started driving. My insurance rate went up to nearly $500 a month. No accidents, no tickets. I could afford 2 cars + 2 years of gas for the prices plus insurance of a model y

@JessePeltan $530 a month is not affordable. You could pick up a really nice used car for five grand and drive that for 3 to 5 years with minimal maintenance. It’s also not just 530 a month it’s also how much it cost to insure it. For a model Y that’s gonna be $225-250 a month
