We are told—based on U.N. and intelligence reports—that Iran said they have stockpiled near 300 of kilograms of uranium enriched to about 60%.
That level is just below weapons-grade (90%), and experts say it could be further enriched to weapons-grade in roughly 1–2 weeks if they chose to do so. 
In theory, that amount of material could be enough for around 10 nuclear weapons—but that does not mean Iran has built any bombs and nothing says they haven’t built the bombs in advance.
For comparison, uranium used for civilian nuclear power is typically enriched to only 3–5%, and even research reactors rarely need more than about 20%. 
Enrichment to 60% is widely seen as having no clear civilian purpose and is much closer to weapons capability.
Iran’s regime has repeatedly called for Israel’s destruction and has backed forces that target Jews, Israelis, and U.S. interests across the region. Iran is also moving dangerously close to weapons-grade nuclear capability, while many Americans live, work, or serve in the broader Middle East. Even in America they are brave enough to say “death to America.”
Waiting until a nuclear weapon is fully built and deployed would be a reckless mistake. By then, deterrence becomes far more dangerous, the human cost could be catastrophic, and the options to stop it become far narrower.

Iran’s military has exceeded U.S. and Israeli expectations: They continue to heavily strike the Gulf and Israel, and have introduced more capable and more destructive missiles as the war escalates (Karashneg with cluster munitions)
Trump has 2 options:
1. Seek an off-ramp. Accept the loss, portray it as a win to his voter base, and move to the next target: Cuba
2. Escalate: Strike Iranian infrastructure and bleed the country into submission, with the option of sending troops to seize the Strait of Hormuz
Option 1 avoids further U.S. debt and munition shortages, but gives up on the objective of controlling the Strait of Hormuz. This would be a massive win for China, giving it energy supremacy and a huge edge in the AI race.
Option 2 could lead to a capitulation of the Iranian regime, meaning U.S. control over the Straits, allowing long term leverage over China. However Iran could also turn into another forever war, a failed state, with hundreds of thousands of dead. Think Iraq, but worse
I feel Trump has made up his mind, and seems set to go all the way. The long term strategic importance of the Straits seems to outweigh the risks of another forever war
I hope he’s making the right choice, as I am extremely worried, especially if China decides to increase military support to Iran and turn the conflict into a geopolitical proxy war.
But despite things looking bleak at the moment, we may also see a capitulation of the Iranian regime, an end to the war, and the U.S. having control/influence of the Straits. Although unlikely, it is not impossible.

No matter what Trump does next, the Middle East will never look the same - Gulf countries are pissed - Iran is more hardline - Russia & China are salivating And if the regime survives, Trump loses any chance to control the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. will come out much weaker, and China much stronger Trump should have never started this war, but at this stage may have no option but to finish the job.

🇮🇷 Iran just brought a new missile into the spotlight, the Fattah-2.
This isn’t your usual missile. It launches with a solid-fuel booster, shoots up crazy fast, reportedly past Mach 15, all the way to the edge of the atmosphere.
Then it flips the script. The booster drops off, and a hypersonic glide vehicle takes over, carrying the warhead back down.
And this is where it gets tricky… it doesn’t just fall straight. It glides, adjusts mid-air, flies around 12–30 km high, then drops lower and starts making sharp, last-second turns.
Speed? Anywhere from Mach 5 to Mach 20, that’s up to ~17,900 km/h (around 10,000 mph). At that speed, systems like Iron Dome, Arrow, and David’s Sling barely get time to react.
So it’s not just fast, it’s moving all over the place, too. That combo makes it really hard to stop.
If this actually works as they say… this is the kind of thing that starts messing with how current air defenses are built.
