#Rays SS Carson Williams and OF Jacob Melton, who were both in contention to make the Opening Day roster, have been optioned to AAA camp and will begin the season with @DurhamBulls. Both are key pieces to the Rays future and figure to be up with the big-league club at some point in 2026.

@CoachSwit We need more American Legion type Summer leagues. Play with the kids from your High School team and play the towns in your state. This is what I grew up playing and it was a blast. My son is a pitcher at a D1 and he hardly knew the kids he played with on his Summer teams

Travel baseball has turned into: Pay tons of money to play. Pay to travel. Pay to stay. Pay to watch your own kid. And somehow… this became normal. Will it ever change or just get worse?

@Dutch_Oven45 The flaw in their game is that 90% of the hitters in their lineup are trying to hit the ball 500 feet every time up no matter the situation. When that doesn’t work this is the result you get.

I love the Dominican Republic and respect those guys so damn much. Love their passion and energy. But we can’t complain about just one pitch when they had Multiple opportunities. Bad calls were made both sides. I promise I’d say the same thing if it was other way around.

The bat flip debate is so dumb. The WBC is an *international* tournament. And different countries have different baseball cultures. 🇰🇷 In the KBO, bat flipping is part of the game, and considered an art form in its own right. 🇯🇵 NPB pitchers tip their hat and bow after giving up a home run. If they don’t, its considered disrespectful to the hitter. 🇺🇸 MLB has a more “professional” culture, like Japan. Lot’s of unwritten rules that emphasize humility and sportsmanship. 🇩🇴🇵🇷🇨🇺 The Caribbean Leagues are by far the loudest and most “extra.” Bat flips, excessive celebrations, etc. We should be embracing these differences.
