During the Great Depression, in 1932, thousands of unemployed autoworkers and their families marched in Detroit demanding jobs, relief, and the right to organize. The march was organized by the Communist Party. Three of the five workers killed by the police were communists. Yesterday, ACP stood in solidarity with UAW Local 600 to commemorate this march and to remember the workers who marched in 1932.

Members of the ACP Michigan chapter attended comedian and political-commentator Jimmy Dore’s live show at Grewal Hall in Lansing, Michigan, on Friday, February 20th. After the show they met with @jimmy_dore, talked politics with him and members of the audience, and passed out ACP business cards. MI ACP stands in solidarity with Jimmy Dore and his audience. He is a beacon of truth as he exposes the lies of the mainstream media and our corrupt politicians.

The Michigan Chapter of ACP initiated a program of study of Marxism-Leninism with Michigan Tech students.
At the moment this involves two enrolled students, plus one recently graduated student from a nearby college, and a local resident.
In the first session the participants discussed The Communist Manifesto, and Engels’ work On Authority. Two ACP comrades participated in the discussion, one remotely.
The course is scheduled to meet bi-weekly. The program of study will cover readings on dialectical materialism, Lenin’s The State and Revolution, political economy and political practice from a Marxist-Leninist perspective, Carlos Garrido’s “The Purity Fetish and the Crisis of Western Marxism,” and Georgi Dimitrov’s "On Fascism, Speech at the 7th World Congress of the Communist International."
