The Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) is bringing its prestigious Annual Conference to Kenya and Africa for the first time. Themed: "ENVIRONMENTAL MULTILATERALISM AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT", the historic conference will be held on 23-25 June at @uonbi and @UN Gigiri. ACUNS is an independent nonprofit association of scholars, practitioners and institutions active in the work and study of the @UN It stimulates and supports dialogue and research on global issues and international cooperation. The ACUNS Conference Nairobi 2025 Organising Team paid me a courtesy call at the @Kmunep offices in Gigiri to brief me on progress of the preparations. The Kenya Permanent Mission to UNON and UNEP is playing a pivotal role in the Conference. We are keen to connect the @UN system to the Kenyan public more practically and robustly.
