NEW: Utah woman who wrote a book about grief after her husband died has been found guilty of murdering him. According to prosecutors, Kouri Richins put 5x the lethal dose of the synthetic opioid into a cocktail that her husband Eric Richins drank. Prosecutors also say Richins said she was $4.5 million in debt and thought that if she killed him, she would inherit his estate worth $4 million. She was also seeing another man. Richins attempted killing her husband on another occasion where she gave him a fentanyl-laced sandwich that made him black out. Before she was arrested in 2023, Richins published the book “Are You with Me?” and promoted it on local TV and radio stations. Prosecutors say this was an attempt to cover up the murder. Richins is scheduled to be sentenced on May 13.

My wife lays out my socks and boxers in the bathroom every morning while I’m in the shower. I honestly don’t remember how it started but it started shortly after we moved in together. I never expected it and never asked her to. One day she simply added it to her morning routine. Eventually I noticed that she always did it *while* I was showering—never before. I quickly realized it was never about the socks or boxers. It was about the routine. It was about getting to say “good morning”. It was her way of starting each day by showing her husband he’s a priority. Ten years later, this small, consistent gesture means the world to me. Socks and boxers

You see? It's not *all* failures and bad stuff out there. I prep the coffee every night. Grind it up, put it in the coffee machine, fill the water reservoire. But whoever gets up first in the morning and starts the machine brewing, whether it's me or my wife, that person makes sure the other person's coffee cup is set out and ready by the machine. It's a small thing. But it's a big-small thing that hits that "consistency" target every time.
