I am so honored and delighted to be a speaker at the Women's Health and Menopause CME conference at Harvard Medical School. This is the second year that the conference has been in person. For several years before that, the CME conference was online only. Now it is live and online. What a joy to be invited to present at this conference for several years now. I love being there in person, seeing my colleagues from Harvard Medical School, and connecting with participants, some of whom I know and others I just meet that day. It's so special. I spoke about the power of all 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine with a focus on the science. Lifestyle medicine is evidence-based, and our guidelines are based on the research. I love delivering presentations on lifestyle medicine. #lifestylemedicine #health #womenshealth #medicaleducation #medicalschool #medicalstudents #CME #continuingmedicaleducation #medicalconferences #menopause #Harvard #HarvardMedical

We’re proud to celebrate two incredible milestones for Dr. Gerard Baltazar! 🎉 Recently named President of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society, the AOA affiliate for New York, Dr. Baltazar continues to lead and inspire within the osteopathic community. He was also inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Among 73 recipients of this distinction, only 4 were DOs, and Dr. Baltazar was the only DO surgeon honored. Two remarkable recognitions that reflect leadership, excellence, and the impact of osteopathic surgery. 👏

❤️ February is Heart Month ❤️ This month, we proudly recognize the lifesaving work of our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Discipline. From complex open-heart procedures to advanced vascular interventions, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons stand at the forefront of innovation and precision. They care for patients during some of the most critical and vulnerable moments of their lives, restoring circulation, repairing damaged vessels, and giving hearts a second chance to beat stronger. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States. During Heart Month, we are reminded that prevention, early detection, and expert surgical care all play vital roles in improving outcomes. Our osteopathic cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons bring a whole-person philosophy to this highly specialized field, combining technical excellence with compassionate, patient-centered care. Pictured are the current officers of the ACOS Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Discipline, whose leadership helps advance education, collaboration, and excellence within this specialty. Join us in recognizing the impact of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons this Heart Month and in recommitting to heart health for our patients and our communities. We are proud to celebrate three recent Match successes in our community! Rachel Daley matched in Ophthalmology. Reflecting on her journey, she shared: “I’m incredibly grateful for the mentors and experiences that led me to ophthalmology, and I’m excited to begin residency at the University of South Carolina. As someone who did not get into medical school the first time I applied, my advice is simple: don’t give up. If it’s your dream, make it happen. Work hard, build meaningful connections, and show genuine dedication to the field." Alex Baldridge matched in Urological Surgery. She offered this advice for future applicants: "Determination opens doors, but relationships change lives. Go after what you want with confidence, lean on your people when the road gets hard, and treat every interaction as meaningful, because the right connection at the right time can shape your entire future." Stella Glykos also matched in Urological Surgery. She shared: "Matching into urology has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Through sub-internships, interviews and conferences, I’ve met some of my best friends, people I know I can always count on. For future applicants: work hard, stay kind and always be a team player." Congratulations to Rachel, Alex, and Stella on this incredible achievement. We cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in residency! If you’ve recently matched, we would love to celebrate you too. Send us your photos and match stories!

Advice for Creating a Rank Order List: #matching2026 #NRMP #MedEd Only advice is Rank the program where you want to go in order. It’s that simple. Food for thought: You will rank and go to where you were always suppose to attend. 🙌🧑‍⚕️👨‍⚕️
