@JeanneFr8 @beatrixvox @DiscussingFilm Literally everyone in this picture is a legend. Even mama Scorsese had more talent in her pinky finger than Francesca has in her whole body.

@beatrixvox @DiscussingFilm Yes those two actors are definitely legends 🙂 I've loved Joe Pesci since "Home Alone" and Ray Liotta in "Goodfellas" . This new generation of actors can't compare really .

@DiscussingFilm I know nepo babies get advantages in Hollywood, but she's not an actress? It would be nice if she had at least some experience acting before getting a lead role. But that's just my opinion.

@NRanak65543 I liked Longlegs a lot more than I thought I would. Didn't care for the ending, but everything else was cool. I feel like horror movies follow a similar formula now. Watch any of the newer Insidious or Conjuring movies to see what I mean. But Longlegs felt new and refreshing.

Sylvester Stallone‘s Balboa Productions is developing a series adaptation of the 4MK serial killer thriller novels by J.D. Barker. Barker’s novels follow Detective Sam Porter as he hunts the Four Monkey Killer, a murderer with a chilling code of judgment. Source: @DEADLINE

Die Hard With a Vengeance turns 31 today. Might be my favourite Die Hard. Bruce Willis & Samuel L. Jackson have an electric, bickering chemistry, and the whole thing plays like Looney Tunes for adults. The ending dips, but there’s so much momentum I forgive it.

One of the most iconic scenes in American cinema: Bobby Dupea (Jack Nicholson) argues with a waitress over a chicken sandwich in Five Easy Pieces (1970). What seems like a trivial dispute became a symbol of frustration and rebellion, perfectly capturing Bobby’s complex character.

Most people never notice that Pat Roach (born OTD in 1937) plays four different characters across the original Indiana Jones trilogy. Yes, four. This is one of the wildest “one actor, multiple iconic deaths” stories in movie history. A Sting Original Cut

@cjcerda @RealEmirHan Ikr? Maybe she was nervous because Travolta is such a skilled dancer, and she thought the scene would involve that sort of dancing. Fortunately for her, it turned out to be goofy dancing.

Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) used the name Schultz eight years before Django Unchained (2012) introduced Dr. King Schultz. One of those small Quentin Tarantino details that becomes cooler in hindsight.

@SamAburime The bodies of many will be found buried beneath this place and the other camps. May their souls never be forgotten. And may those responsible face the harshest of consequences.

@DannyDrinksWine Been on a Vincent Price kick recently but have yet to see this one. What I love about the man is that he always seems to love what he's doing, even if the scene is ridiculous. Every movie I've seen of his is enjoyable and fun, and that's pretty much always due to his performance.

Vincent Price on "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" (1971): "This was a mock-horror movie, and some say it was ridiculous when I had to speak out of an electric socket in my neck. But the public loved the film. I don't mind making these funny horror films at all. I find almost anything funny, and myself funniest of all. I don't mean that I'm a comedian, but I find that the minute that I take myself seriously, I've got to laugh because it's so ridiculous. It's what gets me through an awful lot of films, this sense of the ridiculous. Phibes was something that I had to take very seriously when I was doing it so that it would come out funny. All the same, it was agony for me because my face was covered with plastic, and I giggled and laughed the whole time, day and night. The makeup man and I became very good friends, because the makeup kept dissolving and he had to patch me up every five minutes." ("Vincent Price: His Movies, His Plays, His Life", Vincent Price, 1978) P.S: On this day, 55 years ago, "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" (1971) was released in the USA.
