Since David Ornstein reported that Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign Vinícius Jr. from Real Madrid, he hasn't posted anything else on the matter. That alone shows Arsenal can never be taken seriously. It's the same with Bruno Guimarães. They also lost Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for similar reasons. Vinícius has never opened the door to joining Arsenal, and Arsenal don't have what it takes to sign him. To be honest, he could regret joining Arsenal, just like Alexis Sánchez regretted joining Manchester United. He's better off staying at Real Madrid or joining Man City or Chelsea.

Been told by a very reliable colleague Vinicius Jr’s preference if he doesn’t agree a deal with Madrid is Manchester City, not Arsenal. But City understandably do not want to break their respective wage structure. Very respectable.

Everytime I see Gyokeres trainig, he's practicing shooting...... with his right foot. Like, bruh, that's literally ALL you can do well right now. That's all to his game at the moment and its still the only thing he does in training. That's how I know there's no hope for him. He's not training headers, he's not training ball control, receiving the ball under pressure, receiving the ball off-balance, receiving long balls and bringing them under control, movement (learn from Merino so he doesn'thave to keep wrestling with defenders), finding space in a crowded box (take lessons from Havertz), etc. These are all things he currently sucks at. Shooting on the ground on his right foot is the one thing that he currently knows how to do properly that he's still focused on in training. He either has bad advisers or he overrates himself. Just like the clowns who stan him, he has allowed the numbers from Sporting to fool him into thinking he's good. He ran into luck this season with all the injuries. He won't be as lucky next season. Even for the shooting, he's not training his left foot (which sucks), he's not training on winning aerial duels and scoring more headers, he's not training on taking volleys or half volleys for when the pass is deflected or poor, he's not training for acrobatic shots to help him be less rigid. Nothing that will actually add something to his game. He just wants to keep being a tap-in merchant who does nothing to help the team except waiting around for someone else to do all the hardwork and lay it for him on a plate. I don't even know if its possible for him to improve in all those areas but at least, he should be trying. Otherwise, he's a lost cause.

As much as I agree that Saka should keep the #7 shirt at Arsenal, you have to understand branding. Vini Jr's branding is worth far more than Saka's & will be part of negotiations to offset any wages payable by Arsenal. Apart from Saka's signature on shirts, I haven't seen the #7 in any of his other branding. Personally, what I would do to make all parties happy: Sell Jesus - Free up the #9 Gyökeres gets the #9 Saka gets the #14 Vini Jr gets the #7 That way, Saka gets Henry's number (especially as Henry mentors Saka), Gyökeres gets his number that he wanted & Vini Jr gets his 7 for his branding. Saka does deserve to keep the #7 but I also think the solution above makes 3 parties happy.
