Recap from our End Period Poverty engagement with students at Aga Khan High School Kampala. We had meaningful discussions around reusable menstrual products, how they are cared for, how long they last, and which options best support heavier flows. #AFRIpadsDignifedFlows

Period poverty is more than a personal challenge; it is a barrier to education, dignity, and opportunity. As a part of our activities for Women’s week, we joined @akesuganda to engage with students in dialogue on; access to menstrual products, sanitation, accurate information, and the impact of the Pink Tax. At AFRIpads, we remain committed to providing sustainable, reusable menstrual solutions that support girls to stay in school and manage their periods with confidence. #AFRIpadsDignifedFlows #AFRIpadsSustainableFlows #AFRIpadsInclusive #InternationalWomensday

Women's day is a reminder of how far we’ve come and how far we still need to go. This Women’s Month, we are reflecting on what it truly means to "Give To Gain." When we provide a girl with the tools to manage her period, we aren't just giving her a product, we are giving her back her education, her confidence, and her future. We celebrate the women that make, the women who advocate. Happy International Women’s Day. #AFRIpadsDignifedFlows #AFRIpadsSustainableFlows #AFRIpadsInclusive #InternationalWomensDay2026

Still celebrating Women’s Week! 🌸 Wednesday evening was well spent at Women Uganda+ 2025, hosted by the Danish Embassy in Uganda @DKinUganda, at the Art and Culture Exhibition “Her Perspective.” The evening celebrated women through art and music, featuring works by talented Ugandan artists, with paintings available for purchase. A special auction by renowned cartoonist Jimmy Spire Ssentongo @SpireJim supported a women’s rights organization. AFRIpads will top up the funds raised from the auction to support women and girls with reusable menstrual pads, menstrual health education, and mentorship. #AFRIpadsDignifedFlows #AFRIpadsSustainableFlows #AFRIpadsInclusive #InternationalWomensDay

With over 60% of school going girls missing school for several days every month due to menstruation and while only about 22% have consistent access to sanitary pads, period poverty remains a silent barrier to education and health in Uganda. For many girls, menstruation becomes a barrier instead of a natural part of life. Earlier today, we received sanitary pads from @AFRIpads and we believe that it is the little that goes a long way. Today reminded us that partnerships are powerful in closing the gap of period poverty and restoring dignity for girls. Through partnerships like this, we are taking practical steps to close this gap and ensure that girls can manage their periods safely and with dignity. Together, we are not only providing menstrual products but also promoting a period friendly environment where girls feel supported, stay in school and thrive. This is the true impact of collective action. #EndMenstrualStigma
