"You’re doing an incredible job. Ignore all distractions. One more hardcore weekend and we will be victorious. Thanks for being amazing”
This inspiring email came during the final Q3 production push. News reports at the time said the team had just produced over 10000 drive units in a single week even though the email itself does not state the number.
For reference the famous 5000 complete Model 3 cars per week milestone happened a couple months earlier in June July 2018.

Natural selection’s trial-and-error process allows improvement without anyone understanding or guiding it. The same can apply to how we learn. There are at least three kinds of learning that foster evolution: memory-based learning (storing the information that comes in through one’s conscious mind so that we can recall it later); subconscious learning (the knowledge we take away from our experiences that never enters our conscious minds, though it affects our decision making); and “learning” that occurs without thinking at all, such as the changes in DNA that encode a species’ adaptations. No one thinks that all legal immigrants are the same. On balance, legal immigrants are good for America, but there certainly are exceptions. My view: We should take in more people who love America, will assimilate, and will be net contributors to our society. And we should stop taking in people who fail to meet these criteria.
