DEFENCE HQ NIGERIA
DEFENCE HQ NIGERIA@DHQNigeria·
DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS CLARIFIES CLAIMS OF TERRORIST BASE IN THE SOUTH WEST ASSURES NIGERIANS OF ONGOING SECURITY OPERATIONS The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede, on behalf of the Armed Forces of Nigeria extends his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, the government and people of Oyo State, and the entire nation over the deeply painful and unconscionable attack on Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota; Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esinele; and L.A. Primary School, all in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. General Oluyede describes the abduction of innocent children and staffs as a callous and reprehensible act that strikes at the heart of every Nigerian, and assures grieving families that the full weight of the Armed Forces is being brought to bear to ensure the safe and unconditional return of every abducted victim. The Chief of Defence Staff further calls on all Nigerians to remain calm, united, and cooperate with security forces during this critical period of operations. The Armed Forces of Nigeria wishes to categorically address recent media reports and public speculation suggesting that terrorist elements have established a permanent operational base within the South West geo-political zone of Nigeria, particularly following the attack in Oyo State. It is pertinent to state that the incident was an isolated criminal act and does not reflect the existence of any entrenched terrorist structure in the region, as the Armed Forces had earlier conducted a comprehensive clearance operation of the Old Oyo National Park (OONP), effectively neutralizing the operational capacity of criminal elements within that corridor. Current intelligence assessments do not support the conclusion that any structured or permanent terrorist base exists within the forests or hinterlands of the South West region. Criminal elements, however audacious their recent activities, do not constitute an established insurgent presence, and the Defence Headquarters cautions against narratives that may cause unnecessary public panic or embolden adversaries by overstating their capabilities. The Defence Headquarters wishes to assure all Nigerians, particularly residents of the South West, that own troops are currently deployed and actively operating within the forest in pursuit of the perpetrators and in search of the abducted victims. Troops made contact with the criminal elements two days ago, have since reorganized, and are continuing the search and pursuit operations with full determination. Working in close coordination with relevant security agencies, the Armed Forces is conducting intensive joint operations across forest corridors and ungoverned spaces in the zone. The Armed Forces is equally engaging the local populace for human intelligence, recognizing that community cooperation remains an invaluable asset in the effort to recover the abducted victims safely and swiftly. The joint effort with all security agencies and local vigilantes will ensure that the forest is thoroughly cleared of criminal elements and that lasting peace is restored to the region. The Armed Forces of Nigeria will not relent until every abducted victim is safely recovered, the criminal networks responsible are dismantled, and normalcy is fully restored across the South West and indeed all of Nigeria. Overnight, Nigeria and the United States recorded a significant example of effective collaboration in the fight against terrorism. Our determined Nigerian Armed Forces, working closely with the Armed Forces of the United States, conducted a daring joint operation that dealt a heavy blow to the ranks of the Islamic State. Early assessments confirm the elimination of the wanted IS senior leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, along with several of his lieutenants, during a strike on his compound in the Lake Chad Basin Nigeria appreciates this partnership with the United States in advancing our shared security objectives. I extend my sincere gratitude to President Trump for his leadership and unwavering support in this effort. I commend the personnel involved on both sides for their professionalism and courage, and I look forward to more decisive strikes against all terrorist enclaves across the nation. I laugh in Chinese 😂 Should I burst your bubble? Let me burst it because I see that you don’t want to learn. You have been fed with lies and it has compounded your ignorance. You are confusing the first three hundred years of early Christianity with the last 1700 years of Christendom. Yes, the early followers of Jesus were persecuted. However, the moment the Roman Empire adopted Christianity under Constantine and later made it the only legal religion with the Edict of Thessalonica in 380 AD, the persecuted became the violent persecutors. Pagans were slaughtered and their temples destroyed. Have you read about Charlemagne? During the Saxon Wars in the 8th century, he issued a law called the “Capitulatio de partibus Saxoniae.” His official state policy was baptism or death. I know you don’t know this Barbie 😂. He beheaded thousands of Saxons in a single day at the Massacre of Verden for refusing to convert. When the Conquistadors arrived in the Americas, they read a document called the “Requerimiento” to the native populations. It demanded they submit to the Church and the Spanish Crown, or face war, enslavement, and death. Was that people repenting and turning to Jesus? State violence played a huge role in Christianizing Europe and the Americas. Now let me turn to Islam. I see that you are ignorant, and this has made you conflate political expansion with religious conversion. When Muslim armies defeated the Byzantine and Persian empires, they conquered land and established political authority. They did not put swords to the necks of civilians to change their faith. If they did, places like Egypt, Syria, and Persia would have become Muslim overnight. However, historical records show these regions remained majority Christian and Zoroastrian for almost 300 years after the initial Islamic conquest. They converted gradually over centuries under the Dhimmi system because they were protected and allowed to keep their faith. Take a look at the largest Muslim populations today. Indonesia, Malaysia, and massive regions of East and West Africa. No Muslim army ever marched there. Islam spread entirely through trade routes, scholars, and the moral character of Muslim merchants. Do not take my word for it. Sir Thomas Arnold, a non-Muslim historian in his book “The Preaching of Islam” thoroughly dismantled this sword myth. In fact, the famous British historian De Lacy O'Leary wrote in his book “Islam at the Crossroads” and stated expressly that: the myth of the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated. Will I open your head and speak truth to it if you can’t be open minded to learn? This subject matter is well above your pay grade. Maybe your boss Dachomo will do better. And I promise, I will school him. Thank you for your attention.
Barbir@Alex_Barbir

@YusufAsunmogejo Why is it that there is one religion in the world founded on conquest, war, and violence? While Christianity spread through persecution, through people repenting and turning to Jesus, Islam spread by force.

I have postponed my trip to Iperu, Ogun State. My first duty at this moment is to stand with the people of Plateau. I will be in Jos to commiserate with families who have lost loved ones and to reaffirm that those who seek to spread fear will not prevail. We will continue to strengthen our security response and ensure that justice is done. From Plateau, I will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday, and then continue with scheduled engagements in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa focused on infrastructure, trade, and economic growth. In moments of grief, we must stand together. In moments of progress, we must keep building. The work continues. Nigeria First. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President

Dear NSA @NuhuRibadu sir. It is unacceptable that the govt should allow this idiot continue to parade himself for whatever reason without being closely monitored. The same day he preached violence against Muslims in Jos, innocent travelers were allegedly attacked and killed and settlements of Muslims attacked by some local terrorists in the state. We condemn this and we don't feel safe with your silence and inactions.
Arewa Source@Arewa_Source

It's not a coincidence that the very day this guy and Reverend Dachomo decided to continue their hate campaign against Muslims, a crisis erupted in Plateau State. How is the Nigerian Government still allowing these people to walk freely?

This CIA agent is carrying out a psyops operation to recruit willing agents, stir their anger and put guns in their hands to go and start killing in the name of religious war he was trying to inflame. In reality, the U.S. strategic interests in Nigeria is the massive mineral reserve of the middle belt of Nigeria. The mineral deposits that is estimated to be similar to that of democratic republic of the Congo. The seismic study of the mineral resources of the Benue and Niger basin, upto River Quorra (Kwara) is akin to that of the ones obtainable in the DRC. Once they set the region on fire, set neighbors against neighbors, it’ll be cheaper for them to quietly evacuate the minerals while the people of the middle belt get into a destructive conflict. Just go back and look at the requests of Riley Moore albeit with intelligence eye. The special interest in the middle belt was for mineral resources, but masked as a security aid and community protection measure. I do sincerely hope that the people of the middle belt would not fall for this well known destructive trap. History is replete with such occurrences all over the world, in Sudan, Congo, Kurds etc. Nigerian government must take active measure in urgently arresting and prosecuting this guy, or repatriating him to his country and ban him from ever visiting Nigeria again. And Nigeria government should also up their game in dealing with issues of terrorism and terrorist activities in the middle belt and all over Nigeria. Nigeria government must take responsibility to fix our internal security issues and prevent merchants of violence from putting Nigeria into a very dangerous precedent. In case you don’t know, what caused Rwandan genocide was not the hatred between the Tutsis and Hutus, that was just the trigger. The main cause of the genocide was the neighboring mineral rich democratic republic of the Congo. That was why they world did nothing as they killer themselves, then the managers of such violence came forward and promoted one of the warlords, Paul Kagame, to guarantee the peaceful evacuation of the minerals of the DRC. More that anything else, that led to the development of Rwanda. It wasn’t Kagame’s genius, but his ability to keep the minerals tap flowing to the instigators of the violence’s coffers, while maintaining the region in check on agreed terms. Nigerians should be too mature to be lured into such a trap.

Dear @PoliceNG Police officers are in full uniform watching & protecting a man who is insulting Islam & entire Nigerian Muslims. Such hateful speeches are dangerous to the peaceful coexistence of our dear nation. Nigeria is already overstretched with insecurity & cannot afford a full blown religious crisis instigated by the foreign agent in this video. Nigerians demand the immediate STOP & repatriation of this man back to his country for the sake of our peaceful coexistence. God bless our dear nation 🇳🇬

🇧🇷 The President of Brazil declares: Iran has also been attacked. I am very angry! Why does everyone with power think they own the world?! We are no longer colonies. We have our independence. Come, let us cry out! The empire bombed Iran. Sanctioned Venezuela. Blockaded Cuba. Invaded Iraq. Destroyed Libya. Colonized Palestine. And the world is supposed to stay silent. Brazil speaks. The Global South rises. We are no longer colonies. We are not asking permission. We are declaring independence. Come, let us cry out. Not with tears. With voices. With unity. With resistance.
